Sites in VR App DESCRIPTION

Virtual tours of landmarks from Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Morocco, Kuwait, Yemen, Macedonia, Holland, Belgium, France, Italy, Greece and Space. Examine the marvels of Islamic architecture, visit mosques, tombs, palaces of sultans, museums, inns, baths, castles, towers, old houses, squares, parks, nature, religious sites, ancient cities, space and other places with more than a thousand 360 degree panoramic images in high quality. Go up the Eiffel tower, go inside the Egyptian Pyramids and even visit Mars! You will feel as if you are there…

No gyroscope or compass needed!

BONUS: You can now use this app to setup your viewer for all other VR apps too! It has an integrated QR code scanner and even corrects for wrong screen-size issues. Normally, people will use Google’s “Cardboard” app to setup their viewer. But if your phone does not have a gyroscope, “Cardboard” app can’t be installed. In that case this app is the only alternative you have to setup your viewer!

Even if you don’t have a QR code, you can setup your viewer by using one of the many viewer presets. Viewer presets are available for these viewers: Google Cardboard & Daydream View (version 1 and 2), Gear VR, VRIZZMO Revolt, DCSVR (I Am Cardboard), Homido (mini), Ant VR, Go4D C1-Glass, Small Mojing, VR fold, Wearality Sky, Durovis Dive 5, VR BOX, Baofeng Storm II, ColorCross VR, Nibiru/Soyan/…, Geeach and Ritech 3D.

If there is no preset for your viewer, or you simply want to improve the perceived quality, you can use the unique VR settings option. You can make corrections on the eye separation, vertical center, screen to lens distance, barrel distortion, chromatic aberration and field of view.

3D Panoramas: Normal panoramas are projected on a distant sphere. This makes them easier for the eyes to watch. On the other hand, stereoscopic panoramas are much more realistic. If watching a stereoscopic panorama makes you feel dizzy, you can turn off stereoscopic mode form the settings.

No stitching errors: Utmost care is given to produce panoramas without stitching errors. Even when you look to the ground, where normally the tripod stand, you will not see any errors. This is also true for the many stereoscopic (3D) panoramas. Many will not know this but producing an error-free stereoscopic panorama of a real-life scene (not rendered), that feels right when you look at it… is very hard! Countless hours are put into making these.

Note on “Gear VR”: You have to pull up the USB connector and clamp the phone underneath. Don’t connect the USB port as that would automatically switch the phone to the Oculus menu.

Tips:

– Move your mobile device around and see the environment as if you were holding a camera.
– You can use your fingers to pan around or zoom in- and out.
– Tap the screen to see the hotspots (if any). Tapping the hotspots will move you to that location.
– To prevent screen rotation keep your finger on the screen while turning the device.
– When in VR mode in a place, look down to exit.
– When in VR mode, if the scene is turning by itself, leave the device on the table for about 30 seconds. This will trigger auto-calibration of the gyroscope sensor.

Noura

I have just generated QR code for my VR gear ( I press viewer settings and I press the VR icon in the middle / bottom of the screen when I see the perfect number of the width ) then I press generate QR code . This app is really wonderful 👍. Thank you so much

Rabid

Essential for easily setting up Android/Cardboard phone VR helmets. The included scenery is nice, but its the real time calibration tools and ability to export QR Codes are what really make it a must have. No more guessing and web searches for bad QR Codes for your cheap VR goggles. Just tilt your head and fine tune your image on the fly to fit your phone to your goggles perfectly. If you're doing budget steamVR with a cheap headset and an app like VRidge this will save you a lot of pain. And it's FREE! Easily 5 stars.

Isaac

A great app to use on the 'cardboard' headset - a great alternative to the Google Cardboard app, which doesn't even let me download as my phone is too new?? But this app is certainly a 5 out of 5, lots of different places to choose from, including some famous landmarks (Disneyland etc.). Very pleased, thank you for creating/making this Sites in VR app - works really well. And also there are very few ads, which makes the experience a whole lot easier. Another thing is it is so realistic!! Thanks!

Dorian

The sites are fairly well done. But the app has a very muslim perspective of the word. For instance Egypt just has no end of Mosques, yet nothing pertaining to the pharaonic era. No pyramids, nothing from valley of the Kings, just Mosques. And let's face it when you've seen one mosque you've more or less seen them all. But if you're are interested in seeing Mosques this app is perfect.

Awesome. First game I got for my VR. Very, very nice. Works good for any mobile VR I'm assuming. Nice customization for your field of view ECT. Many places to visit, it feels very real. Very fun and entertaining app, if you love travelling but quarantine is preventing you from travel, I highly recommend this.

Eugene

One of the 1st apps I got working properly with my VR headset due to it's awesome custom VR settings, there is even chromatic abortion correction. Amazing 360 pictures that can be downloaded for offline viewing. I just wish pictures were also stereo. Overall a must have app for someone with a VR headset, very well done.

Matt

This clearly needs updating to work with the modern larger 6.5" phone screens. I spent 30 minutes mucking about in the settings, but when I click on the VR button, the centre bar was always offset to the centre of the screen making the app unusable.

Pugicorn

It is super great... If you like just staring at a building or at the sun because this game is hard to use because it has a weird way of turning the camera and also one more boring thing is you can't walk or interact with any thing! I do not recommend if you want to have a fun game and a interactive game.

Akash

This app is really great. I made vr headset at home and i calibrated my vr headset with this app. This app calibrated my vr headset with 100% accuracy. And the viewing sites are also amazing. It gives really 3d realistic experience.

Guest

Looks promising, but doesn't account for larger screen sizes. I have a Pixel 4 XL with a 6.3" screen, but to get the calibration ruler to line up, I have to select ~5.74", with the bottom 3/4 inch or so dark. Otherwise, fantastic so far.

Guest

This app is amazing! If you cant afford PCVR or a Quest, but you can buy a mobile headset, this app lets you see dozens of amazing sites and places. Even if you've never wanted to go site seeing, this is the perfect app for any Mobile VR user.

Guest

I love this app! The photos are crisp and beautiful. Only thing that would make it better is some movement to look at, like running water, and or sound effects to go along with the scenery. I have another app that plays nature sounds and I play it over top of this app. It's a lovely experience. Very relaxing

Guest

Wonderful! This is one of my favorite apps. I have spent hours in it just perusing the different places you can visit. It is so much fun, especially for me, who cant travel right now. I have had such a good time looking at everything, I cant get enough. The only ways I can think to improve it are to please add some places besides the middle east, such as Asia and even more of Europe, and to add more churches and synagogues because right now there are only mosques. It's an amazing app!

Guest

Surprisingly worked with my phone. I wasn't expecting much but I put my phone in my Google cardboard and sure enough they found a way to do it. Tilt head side to side (rotating the phone) instead of naturally looking around. Not quite as good but I'm surprised it worked at all. The scenes were great and there was options to switch the scenes without removing the phone. Good job!

Guest

So exhilarating. Such marvellous work. Interesting and informative locations. Great positioning. High quality images. Good work, guys. Needs update, though, in other words, much more locations, cities.

Guest

I love this app. It has beautifull pictures. There is wide list of places and countries. It even has Bosnia and Herzegovina. I have been in Mostar so many times, and this app reminded me on those visits. Good work.

Guest

I really like the idea of using VR to explore places I can't actually visit. While you can't move around the locations, the ability to look anywhere from your vantage point makes it very immersive. No headset needed.

Guest

for a free app its great. i didn't come across any ads. you are restricted to parts of Europe and the middle East. it is all still frame. But if you want to get a feel of a place or landmark (you can go inside the Eiffel tower) it works well.

Guest

It looked good but since I didn't have a gyroscope I wasn't able to look around very easily. Which is really unfortunate because the pictures looked very high-quality and there were so many options.

Guest

A bit disappointing as you can only view still images of landmarks in 3D but not move around. Not even any audio description or music. Better watch tour videos on YouTube
