App REVIEWS
Poorly designed. 1 very unclear workflow re creating a "form" and having to name it. What's the point of that. 2 if you make a mistake in flight number you cannot edit it you have to delete the form and start over 3 when completing the vaccine record for non Eu very unclear whether you select full regimen or booster. And the Pfizer vaccine is not listed and there is no option for "other".
I entered the data on the official website and despite all the confusing layout I was able to get it fully set up. I receive my QR code and try to scan it into the app only for the app to tell me it is not recognized.... They sent me a code they can't even read, what is the point. Now I have no idea what I will need to do once I land in the country. I have a copy of approval email and QR but if the app says it's not a valid QR then who is to say they won't have same results at the terminal?
For an app that is supposed to collect simple data and simplify a complex process, this is a spectacular and infuriating failure on both counts. Bafflingly opaque and hard to navigate, it shoots off at various tangents and repeats input screens and instructions with no apparent pattern. I had to enter the name of the town where I was staying no fewer than five times, which says it all really. In summary, a rubbish start to a long-awaited holiday.
The app was very easy to use. Entering your birth date was not intuitive, though. People have complained about how difficult it is to enter birth date but I discovered if you tap on the current date above the calendar for entering birth date , there it's a drop-down list of years so that you can easily select your birth year.
It proved useless. After completing the form, when requesting the QR code it kept failing with communication error. Sometimes it would show a captcha where you had to identify chimneys, cars, bikes, traffic lights, etc. but it would then give communication error again. Eventually I had to get the QR code from a browser. Going back to the app it did not give the option to retrieve. A pointless exercise. That was 2020. Update in 2022: nothing has changed. I still have to use wheb site.
It's a great idea, but it's incredibly frustrating in how it works. Removes entries whenever you switch app or have to restart. Told me my information was wrong even after checking it 5 times. Then suddenly worked without changing anything. You can't upload PDF for your vaccination proof nor a screenshot...
Nobody would use this app if it was not a legal obligation. The usability could greatly improved... For example: changing to another app (to get data to fill in the forms) loses data already entered on the current page, data that could be inferred is requested several times, diferent trips require entering all the same information every single time, travelling with a family requires entering all the same information for every single person...
I don't know the developers, but whoever did this, please do some other job. One of the worst app I've used in recent times. User experience was never in the agenda. Data is badly persisted. Pin codes are mandatory, and if I switch to browser to Google it, I lose all my entries. Took a lifetime to get the steps done! Wish I could give negative points
Generally clear and straightforward (though lots of things to fill in). Very responsive. Suggestions for improvement would be not wiping the data from the form when I toggle to a different app to get the flight number or hotel address; being clear what 'alias' means on the first page, and being able to copy certain details from one application to another (we are a family of 3, re-inputting the same flight and hotel data for a larger number would take some time).
Update: Had to delete original app & clear all cookies BEFORE I could get new version 2 download & open. Still poor. Can't go back a page in app, as page/s with info already input are wiped 😱😱. If I could give this app a MINUS 10, I would!!! This pile of c#@p needs sorting!!! 'Updated' version won't even download - what use is that?? Needs 2 have a few more bugs/issues sorted. Also the word "alias" instead of applicants name could be confusing for some.
Generally a good app. However I found it very frustrating when I had to swap mobile phone screens to check my data and the form reset itself so I was forced to reenter the details. It was great to be able to save and return to the form. It's not easy to find the region for a hotel it would be good to be given appropriate options when you enter the hotel address from the official hotel website Fingers crossed and I have a QR code somewhere cos it wasn't clear (except there should be a PDF email)
I've had the app on my phone since October 2020 and it was easy to use on my trip to Spain last year. However, I tried to fill in a new form for a forthcoming trip but couldn't get beyond the first page as it recognised my previous entry. I sent off an e-mail for support and was sent a list of possible answers. No joy, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. That did the trick as my previous details were wiped and I was able to partially complete it. Just the 48 hrs prior to departure to do.
Everytime you change to another app (to check the address you are staying for example) you lose the progress and need to feel again the whole step. For people travelling often to spain, filling the whole form everytime is really annoying. Having a duplicate trip feature and coping the data would save a lot of time.
Most of the app is fine, but it removes some information if you leave the app without completing it. For example, it deletes the seat number, so I had to do that again, then the hotel address had been removed, so has to look that up again and complete that, then I found the seat number was missing again. It just needs a tweak to improve the user experience.
I thought this was the best app of its kind that I had used for these travel forms until I got into entering information. If your phone falls asleep or if you have to open another app to find the information, it clears your entries. It also wouldn't save the correct country or let me change it before submitting. Fingers crossed it will all be ok when I get there.
crucial that this works 100% at all times. I tried using it to enter my information, but it wouldn't accept me street name - error was "use alpha numeric characters". That's all I was using. However, the website worked as expected so that I could travel. Similar to other commenters, I found that the app has an UPDATE loop error. I guess if people want to use the app, they must uninstall what they currently have, and then reload the (hopefully) updated version.
The way the app is structured is very logical and clear. The only issue is that if you switch between apps while filling out the form, the information you enter will erase when you go back to this app. This can be very frustrating if you are looking up information you need to enter into the forms.
When filling out info that you need to refer to throughout the process, it really helps when an App doesn't switch you to different pages of the form every time you switch back and forth between it and the other Apps that contain that info. Also, let me type a birthdate, ffs, playing with spinners is so inefficient.
Easy to use. However if you minimize the app while filling (to take an inbound call) your form responses will clear, otherwise a painless experience, easier than the website and done in 5 minutes. Also, an apartment number was required for my US home address, so it could be better, but still for a mission critically government app developed quickly, I've seen much much worse. By the way "Form Alias" is your name(at least that's what I entered and worked).
Good effort to have the app in place altrough several improvements are due. Multi-tasking clears data from the field you were at. After update you have to clear the data for the app to have it working again, otherwise it crashes immediately. Upon clearing data you will obviously loose the form you created. Latest update addressed crashes on Samsung devices running Android 11.
