With convenient access to your health plan details, you’re more informed when you need care. If you’re a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan member, you can:

— View your deductible and other plan balances
— See what services your plan covers
— Check claims and EOBs
— Check your HSA and FSA account for users that use our Health Equity partner
— Pay your plan bill for users with non-employer coverage
— Find doctors and hospitals in your network
— Select and view your Primary Care Physician
— Get access to care including our 24-hour nurse line and telehealth
— Have your virtual ID card handy
— Compare quality ratings for doctors and procedure costs

The app supports most of our plans, but not all.

If you’re one of these members, the app won’t work for you:

— FEP members with a PPO plan

Identity
Google Play™ services needs this in order to send you push notifications. BCBSM won’t use anything related to your identity that isn’t associated with your account with us.

Wi-Fi connection
This access allows the BCBSM app to check for an active internet connection, which allows the app to function correctly.

Photos and other media
We use this access to deliver PDFs to you and to display your virtual ID card. BCBSM will not access or use your pictures or saved files for any other reason.

After having this "health" insurance for 2 years through my work, the only thing good about it is that it doesn't hurt the wallet, too bad. Other than that, the fact that I don't get dinged for not having health insurance is the only other good thing. This insurance sucks. You can max out the deductible and then the places you visit HAVE to run it through them 2-5 times before they'll even cover what they say they'll cover, or you'll have to call every time you get a bill and make them do it

2023... Still subpar, and apparently NO ONE is tending the shop. R&D are you alive? Seriously I can never get logged in. I just went ahead and tried to do the autofill and with the little eyeball I found out that the autofill was incorrect! I know what this password is and i put it in correctly. I got a letter 2 weeks ago with the information about 2020 costs and then I got an email saying you sent me the wrong info.

Biometrics disables every two weeks and I need to enter my password again? Get real. No other app does this, nor should it. Get out of my way and let me pay my bill.

Just not a good app. When searching for medical care they will provide out of network choices. Calling is even worse as they tend to not know how to assist.

The app works fine if you can get logged in. It will not access any password locker and loses support for biometric login very quickly. It also won't let you have a easy to remember password. So if you have memory issues -- keep your card handy.

App struggles to load when I log in and sometimes experiences troubles logging in at all. There is a long load time when navigating screens to look for in network doctors or get cost estimates. I ha e had the app crash multiple times while trying to locate doctors near me or get cost estimates. Overall until an update is made or patch is added to correct these issues, I'm going to be struggling to get my info for my doctor.

I keep getting an account recovery message. I answer all of the security questions correctly, entered all of the codes sent to my phone and my email correctly but somehow it still wont let me in. Fix your horrid app!

I get the exact same diabetic supplies every 3 months. Each time I get supplies, there is a different price. The inconsistencies are unreal. No one seems to want to help. I have talked to numerous representatives, no one seems to care.

PLEASE FIX THIS!!! Can't pay on the app or website now 😡😡😡Every single time I click "pay your premium" for the past several months it just buffers & shows the spinning wheel and never opens the section to allow me to pay. I've had to use the chat since this began in order to pay my premium, but that can be annoying and it's also nice to just be able to check that tab periodically to make sure I remembered to pay it that month. Please fix this issue!

I don't have reliable access to a computer. This app is fine except for the most important things such as making payments to keep my insurance! I click on "pay your premium" and am met with a never ending loading screen. Luckily I found out I can pay on the web page through the Google app, but the point of an app like this is supposed to be convenience and unfortunately it fails.

Design: 4 stars; Execution: 0 stars. App looks good but is prohibitively slow and unreliable. I can execute the same actions from my phone's web browser in about 1/10 the time as the app. Point in case: using mobile website I was able to log in, add a payment method and then pay my bill & print a receipt BEFORE this app was able to log in to my account. Same phone, same connection.

The app is easy to use, easy to navigate, very explanatory. Best part is the transparency, clear explanation of benefits/claims(what is covered and what isn't) and real time updates. I love all parties transparency and involvement from the patient, the provider & my insurance. It reduces down the confusion. As a consumer, it gives me an empowerment to really choose my medical providers without the hassle of "guessing". Thank you BCBSM! You all rock!

I should have paid attention to the reviews. I downloaded this app, entered my login info, and was sent to the terms (etc.) screen. It looped me back and forth between these and wouldn't log me in. I then tried to register, but my original login info was correct I guess and the app asked for a password change. NOT WORTH MY TIME!

Horrible. Previous problems with the app but recently it was working fine, and I assumed glitches were fixed. Today I needed to access information and make a contribution, and it required an update before I could continue. Since the update I've had to login 4 times & still haven't completed the transaction. Fingerprint ID didn't work at first. Password method failed. Texts with verification codes are slower than usual. Error with first contribution, 2nd try no confirmation. Frustrating.

Possibly the worst app I have ever had he misfortune of being told to download. Lost track of the number of times I was forced to put in the exact same information 3 times in a row. Map functions do not work with the app constantly telling me I have no internet while I'm sitting at home with high speed wifi. DISABLES THE BACK BUTTON for some God-forsaken reason. All in all 100% unusable and I would rather sit on hold for 20 minutes every time I have to call BCBS than use this trash.
