Game REVIEWS
The resource creep is so intense, after 10 minutes, it becomes impossible to play the game without constantly watching ads. It's a pain. Uninstalled within 1 hour, that's how bad it is.
This game has really good: graphics, sound, play style and score. The characterizations and animations are sweet. What's not good about this game: the ads. There just don't need to be that many ads in such small chunks of play. It really detracts from any immersion and there's a lot to get from this game if there were time to get more immersed before the next ad auto loads; just when you get into the play, another forced as break. What a bummer for one of the best games, in this genre, currently
Part of me doesn't want to put the game down. I like the style, but it has a used method of collecting resources. Also, this is a Fantastic game if you need to count the minutes as there is a brief ad literally every minute
Not sure what the point is of anything that you're doing in this game or why you would be working toward any of the goals. Also, you get interrupted by ads on a regular basis for no apparent reason. This game could do perfectly well just by relying on the ads you agree to be rewarded for watching. And, there's plenty of incentive to want to watch those ads: the rewards are good. So, I don't know what the point is of this game and the constant ad interruptions takes away from the game.
I would rate higher as I love the concept, game play, idea and so on.... but move 30 seconds then forced add move 30 seconds then forced ad ,,,, ("Adds are implemented and used to help game growth blah blah") cut back on ads add more abilities/ upgrades/ things to do to make it worth playing , rating will go back up. Also just completed lvl 15... stuck at "coming soon"..... sad panda
Finally gave up on the game due to the amount of forced ads or chosing ads to gain larger amount of supplies to accomplish tasks. Really liked the game though. Visually appealing and somewhat entertaining when you get to play.
I really do like the acetic and game, however its one of many or "clone" of other games from the same developer and regardless of ad's watched for rewards, the game forces ad's on you every 30 seconds or so, making it virtually unplayable unless you pay to remove ads.
It's a fun game, I enjoyed it a lot. But, at this point I wouldn't pay to remove ads. the amount of content available isn't enough to justify a purchase but the game is pretty miserable to play with the amount of ads it has. It's a bit of a catch 22, because it's been nearly six months since the last update (as of now), and it's dubious to me on whether or not the devs plan to put out more. Would play more, maybe even purchase no ads if it finally updated for a reasonable amount of content.
I love the concept characters & art, and was absolutely willing to pay when the forced adds started up because it was great. I was a bit heartbroken that after completing the first area that is it, it just says coming soon. I got less than 2 days of gameplay before I hit that wall and I feel a bit like I was conned. I spent my money expecting it to buy me lots of add free game play and then discovered it is a super short game.
Waaay too many forced ads! This game has potential to be fun, but being forced to watch an ad every 30 seconds to a minute is just ridiculous. Not to mention the optional ads for resources every couple of steps around the board. Hey devs, maybe make a game that is fun enough that people are willing to spend money on it, instead of just running them off with ads.
Game could be great, the gameplay is fun, the idea is interesting I love the art style it's simple yet elegant. But after you get your altar to level 3 they force ads on you, over and over again. Really unpleasant game design. I'm very disappointed in the publisher, your game could've easily gotten about $20 bucks out of me over time, but instead you'll end up with nothing because you bombard me with ads in the first 5 minutes.
The graphics are basic considering today's technology, and the idea is nothing new. The cult theme isn't fully realised and it's very repetitive. Worst part is the ridiculous amount of ads. Most are 30 seconds long and you have about 10 seconds of gameplay in-between, so you're only playing the game 25% of the time. The ad block purchase is also a scam as it only stop the random pop up adverts. You still have to watch an advert for the extra resources. The game is also only 1 level. Don't bother
This game has an obnoxious level of ads, a forced ad will derail any potential fun you were starting to have around every twenty seconds. It renders the game impossible to engage with, and while you can pay an unreasonable amount to remove the ads, I'm personally unable to get invested enough in the game to consider it, because of aforementioned ads interrupting every time I start to like it. Which is a shame, the spreading corruption was interesting to observe, but the ad balance is awful.
Edited to say i completed the first world and the next one just says coming soon! Please update! Im so sad bc I really loved this game! I really like it. There are a lot of ads but they are only about 10 sec long and you get a little reward every time. I ended up paying for ad free bc I was enjoying the game and it was annoying me. But other than that it's got cute graphics and plenty to do to keep you busy
Pretty fun, if you turn on airplane mode to prevent ads. There's currently not enough content to be worth buying no ads, but without the overwhelming amount of ads (and believe me there are alot) it's a short and fun game. It's still currently updating and adding content, so you're likely not going to get more than a few hours out of it, but watch for updates.
I've come to enjoy this style of gaming more than I ever thought I would... so maybe I'm a lil biased. Big problem, the controls don't allow accurate control of character. I'm used to the way ads work with these games and, bad as this is, it could've been worse. Just please developers, Please, don't continue to bog your game down with so many free resource nodes. One type of resource each, especially on a small map. My ask is some added flair and boons/gifts from "Cult"ivated areas. Thanks!
It seems to be the trend, exceptional games ruined by overwhelming advertising. Oh, I mean overwhelming. You get the first 5 minutes before your first ad. After that, every 60 second you are sent to ad space. There you get to enjoy the same 5, 30 second commericals. Yes, you can skip the ad after 5-10 seconds, or like me, you can skip this app all together. Gameplay: 4.5/5 Ad spam: -2.5 Again really great game dev team.
I finished it in less than a day and the end was... underwhelming. I get that it's not done but all of that for just a "coming soon" is very disappointing. It's a good game but only if you play offline, every 30 seconds you lose around 10 seconds of your life with an ad. Can't say I'm excited to see more, just going to uninstall it and maybe do it all again if the update looks interesting.
Ok good points: the graphics are good and the music isatmospheric. Unfortunately that's it. The game play is pointless. Even compared to other harvesting games. You don't lead a cult, you turn everything purple and cut down trees. Having said that the foundations are there for an actual game to be made. If there was some over all point of expanding your "cult" it would help alot. Perhaps expanding as much as possible against a timer? Maybe followed by a wave/horde mode? Also WAAAAY too many ads.
Ivy just got done doing the first world in one day. I hate to say it but I was expecting something a bit more dramatic at the end when you reach Level 15. The game runs smoothly, great details and my only problem I have is the corruption effects the stuff that gives 60 or 200 of a item. It only lets you watch 2 videos all together for that stuff and any other time it automatically does a video with a 5 second warning 99% of the time it also doesn't add a sacrifice unless you do it 2 times too
