The last couple of update was terrible! Totally ruined it. I tried to go to setting & Clear cache and reinstall, and doing same issue Twice.... I can't stand the fact I can't get rid of the top and bottom menu while looking at an area. Used to just tap the screen and they would go away. Now, it just drops a pin, instead of a long press. Also, having issues with zooming in and out is pretty useless. Since the last couple of updates are terrible.😤

I don't normally rate apps but I've been forced by a major event. I'm rating it low in hopes of someone from the dev team reading. The timeline view was recently changed from a daily view that went from day to night, to a now to past scroll. It's atrocious. Disgusting. Anyone who thought that was a good idea clearly didn't use the timeline. If you can, please change it back, the scroll is starting to appear in my nightmares. That being said, happy new year. Edit: they changed it back! :)

I just got the S23 Ultra. When you have the app "kept open" the current trip is being shown in the UI. But if you don't have it kept open, and you close the app, you need to have a new trip created, and then the UI shows your current trip. The notification of the current trip is there but it does nothing, when you click on it. It makes using the app uncomfortable 😫 Please fix it.

Most of my experiences with this app have been positive with a couple glitches here and there. Yesterday was a mess. First, it brought me to the wrong location. Fortunately I was able to figure out where to go. Then upon leaving, it was insistent that I take a county road to save 2 minutes. Mind you, it had snowed & the cty rds were a mess. After fighting with the app I finally changed the route to highway. In the middle of the route it changed back to cty Rd! Not impressed.

I am not able to use Google Maps. It is showing low location accuracy every time for REALME 2 . I have done calibration also many times. I'm not able to travel. I have enough space in phone memory also. I turned on improve location accuracy. I uninstalled the app. Cleared the cache. Used wifi. No improvement. It have become head ache for me. I can't travel.

Great app. Useful for everyone in the day to day life. But the roads which are closed or under construction or not meant for commuting are also shown in the directions. This is really a big problem as most of the cabs rely on this app and they enter the road. After entering the road they will realise, it is not meant for commuting or it is under construction. Raised this issue multiple times in the maps app. But still no use

After the update, a great feature has been made available that enables using the full screen when swiping up on the search bar. I have noticed it working in a regular phone format, but tablets or foldable phones using a large screen are sadly not able to use this feature. I would highly appreciate being able to go fullscreen on my foldable with the next update!

It used to be a 5 star app. But lately, when I set a route and it's running in the background, I lose the voice aspect of the app. So it doesn't tell me when there's a upcoming turn. But when I open the app again it fast forwards back to present time and repeats all the missed directions. It's extremely frustrating.. Starting to look at different maps now which is a shame. I've used it since Google maps was a thing.. And yes I have cleared the cache. Have a Samsung Z Fold 4 so it should keep up

*1* Can no longer tap the map to clear the top & bottom graphics in order to view map full-screen. Instead, a point is chosen on the map. Not enough screenspace to see where you are compared to the surrounding area nor to see an overview of an area. Especially stupid in landscape orientation because then the graphics take up the entire freaking screen. *2* Maps refuses to use GPS only. Other apps do just fine in that mode. Maps is invasive. A lot of bad design in the recent updates!

Overall its a good map application, with it you can check places, it even can suggest routes by walk or any public transportation method. But it wasted my time twice because of stupid bugs. Firstly, it didnt show the schedule photo i uploaded from another device to a place when i needed it, so i went to a place that was closed. (UPD. fixed by clearind data and cache). Secondly, sometimes it changes an arrival time for a bus AFTER the route is planned to a previous bus that is already gone!

Maps has been very unreliable lately, failing to navigate or process my location or the address I'm looking to go to even though the satellite clearly shows where I am on the map. I have been left stranded countless times. I am dependent on this app as it hooks up to my Android Auto — of which both apps are up to date. Even on its own, it has had issues navigating. Hope this will be patched soon!

Full screen navigation never has been available, *and* meanwhile, single tap on map does nothing; they could solve one with the other, and kill two birds with one stone, but the crack team of experts has yet to figure it out. Full screen Maps used to take a single tap; simple, intuitive. That's been taken away, so now if you want full screen Maps, you must do the world's goofiest up-swipe, only on the uppermost 10% of the screen, on the little search bar, and it works about 10% of the time.

This used to be one of my favorite apps, but not anymore. The updated timeline layout it's completely confusing. Now, for whatever reason, when you tap the map to go fullscreen, it drops a pin instead. I hope this is just a glitch and NOT a prominent new "feature" because, if it is a new feature, they've completely ruined the experience, which is somewhat expected since Google just has the talent for ruining perfectly fine apps and programs. Oh ... and I never get ETA's for churches. 🤔

The app randomly closes when it's running in the background. I have to keep my screen on and if I want to use another app while maps is running in the background I have to keep the small map up. Never did this up until recently. I'm not the one driving in these scenarios but it's still dangerous when we get to a confusing area and I swipe down only to find the green triangle disappeared and then have try and bring the directions up fast.

If I don't choose its fastest route, it repeatedly (as often as every 10-15 minutes) tries to force me onto its route, giving me barely 6-8 seconds even in heavy traffic at 60-70mph to choose "no." I even have "prefer fuel-efficient" routes selected. I've reported this more than a year ago through support & feedback, and it's still an issue. 1-star for how dangerous repeatedly forcing someone to interact with their phone to keep their navigation is.

I'm really happy to see Google Maps finally implement the timeline street view feature on here. I've been able to see so many streets and the place that I use to live at, as far back as 2008. It's impressive and I hope that Google can implement a higher quality Satellite timeline view feature as well. The one on Google Earth doesn't really do it justice.

Dark theme keeps disappearing when trying to use maps at night with dark mode enabled. Every once in a while, it'll return, then be missing again. So inconsistent. The app also no longer shows routes, and I can no longer navigate. It rarely works, and clearing the storage, or cache doesn't do anything. Weeks and months later, it's still the same

For a long while, the Android Auto's Google Maps had a bug that allowed you to see the entire trip while driving and would scale and resize to the remaining distance. That was a much needed feature as the normal view doesn't let you monitor traffic and fails to provide adequate information when suggesting new routes. The zoom in/out buttons are useless as they don't maintain a centered view of the trip. Either make the zoom buttons actually useful or bring back the bug.

I used to love this app. Now it's beyond frustrating, especially if you need everything to work FAST. It no longer allows me to select route options, it shows them but won't let me select the route I want. I have to force the app by driving the "wrong" direction. When searching for something, instead of showing results closest to me, it shows results that are across town every time. Google maps has become trash. I would complain more, but I only get 500 characters to make a point.
