Ew Extremely unhappy with the layout of this app, the lack of color options, the whole mess. I miss how you could tap on a day and edit what was going on for that day, either add or delete an appointment. Not anymore. The calendar hasn't updated on an older phone of mine, so I use that phone to add/edit what's going on. This version sucks. At least give us the option to go back to it for those who like this way.

Great except it automatically adds images to my events and it ruins my color coding. I have looked online for help and it seems that in the current version of the app it is impossible to turn this feature off. Would be super simple to just add a setting to turn it off.

Easy access within the app for all app needs would be ideal. More widgets that have different sizes for different needs and more widget layout options, such as block schedule. App needs more customization options such as block scheduling view with overlaps showing. Would be nice to have the option to mark it completed as well. Otherwise your app has gotten better. Before the newest updates, I would have rated it 0 or 1 star. Your getting better. I am looking for an all around productivity calend

I put an event on my calender and then it disappears. Everything that I had added to the entire month of May disappeared. I had to scramble and call people to find out when my appointments were. I rely on this app to help me keep things straight and plan not only my day but my week. Because I didn't realize what was happening at first a double booked myself a couple of times and had to reschedule things.

Something has gone very wrong. Google must be doing something today. I had to unistall my calendar and it won't download from store. I love my calendar. I have used it for years. I want it back. :) I recommend Google. Its the best. Frustrating that Microsoft tries to screw you and monoplize the internet. I have to turn off that platform for it bugs me. I have been with Google since the Beta days, never disappointed.

This has been my go to app for years. That is now changing. The recent update has destroyed my ability to prioritize my events. Please restore the ability to set active colors for events. Otherwise googles calender will be a past memory for a l ot of us. Today my calendar has returned. These color coding choices are back. And not only on my tablet, but also on my phone which had never given me this option. ( Samsung A 8.4 and S20FE 5g) Now my only issue is the more invasive ads.

Great features like dragging appointments around and also changing length. Mostly great. Huge annoyances are that it can't keep the daily calendars aligned vertically per calendar very well at all, like the website would. It just jumbles them all up for no conceivable reason. Also wish it wouldn't choke and overlap non 15 min events even though it has more space for the text than a 15min block (ie 20 min appt).

Bad app! Apple clalendar is good. The calendar view is clunky easy to go back through events but seeing events in the future is imposible. All the views are confusing to navigate. Also, I can't set visibility in the app. This app also thinks evening for goals is 8:00 PM. Come on, that is 4:00 PM Gmail has the times correct for scheduling though. Stop using same release notes across updates! Makes you guys look lazy.

James

Google changed the color scheme and hue of the calendar app and made it really pallid and ugly. I tried to find an option to change it back but I guess Google doesn't think I should have that ability. I really dislike apps that take aesthetic choices away from the end user. Time to find a less ugly calendar.

Keep having a weird problem. When I set multiple reminders and they pop up on my notification bar and I click on one, it will not go to the one I clicked on. It will pick a random reminder from that day and go to it. I then have to go to the actual app and click on the reminder I wanted to edit or whatever. It's been like this forever. Other than that, good. But 2 stars cuz I expect more Google lol. You run like, the world.

Jaimee

Widgets are impossible to read because it cuts off the event due to only having the day visible instead of the whole month. If you have something scheduled later in the evening you won't even see it know unless you remember to scroll down. I find this app very not useful and find myself just setting alarms on my phone. I miss my Samsung apps sooooo much

SEYMIN

Pretty solid, if I do say so myself. Although the new interface is very confusing. It's been a bit since I've last opened Google calander, I've finally wanted to get my life together, and decided to use a nice, trusted company to help me with that. Google. Only to see my previous memory of this apps interface completely wash away. The side scrolling view for the calender when you open the app is very unusual to say the least. Not what I'm used to, but hey, its free with no ads. Who cares.

Karen

Update: A week or so ago, every appointment and event I put into my Calendar disappeared. Gone. Get a message from Google to check my trash. Nothing there! The view has changed from being able to touch a day and entering the task or appt, to having a damn list of all days in that week. It sucks and I can't change it back. Why do you screw with an app when it works just fine? Why do you think we all want these changes? A the reviews I've been reading are bad for Calendar. It sucks!

Miche..

I have spent all day trying to get my calendar to sync with my new phone. I just got the pixel 6. My old phone was a Samsung s8. I also have the Google calendar on a Samsung tablet and it works great. But for some reason the Google calendar works on Samsung devices, but not Google?! If I can't get this to work in the next day or two I'm going back to Samsung. **in reply to the developer-i did all of that. Still not working. I even tried to call for assistance and was told that my only option is to leave feedback as there is no one that I can talk to for assistance. Maybe try having a customer service number.

Andrea

I've used app for quite a while and it is incredibly useful and convenient. With that said, the latest app update no longer sends invites to the individuals selected once the event it saved; it only saves the event on my calendar. I've disvovered the invites are only sent to the selected individuals via the website version. Why the change? It is less convenient as I always use the app. Thank you for time reading this.

Jim

The color choices an the latest app update are terrible. I use my Google calendar app on an hour by hour basis for my work. The bright bold colors made scheduling very easy. The pastel look is worthless. Tomato (red) is now a faint orange and nearly unreadable. It makes no sense to me that Google would release such a worthless update. Please give us the bold colors back.

Pauline

I love Google Cal typically, mostly due to the color coding system, but with the recent update, the colors are all lighter/black text, which is hard to read. As a result I am having a hard time following my appts, daily system, etc. all because it's difficult to read. Please give us the option to go back to our colors!

The new update messed up the colors on the widget. In the actual calendar (in app and in a browser) the font text is white on the colored event backgrounds and easy to read. The update made the "lighter" colors have black text instead. The white was easier to read on every color and now it's very hard to look at on some of the colors because they're not light enough to justify black text. I'm looking for an alternative until they either go back to how it was or give us a choice of font color.

Blue

It seems as though almost no thought or effort has gone into giving this application any new abilities, features, or even simple updates. I think that I am set off by the applications default to weekly view, as I have, as of yet, not found an alternative way to view the calendar upon opening the application. It is a very stiff and unadaptable application that does only the completely necessary functions of a calendar and little more.

Alexa..

The good: integrates with your other calendars. Microsoft, Samsung calendar app, events from multiple Gmail addresses if you have more than one. Reminders are nice, you can geotag, add file attachments, notes, a video link, and set your own colors. Notifications are as reliable as an alarm clock. The less good: doesn't always remember your preferred view. I like to see the whole month when I open a calendar app, but this app often goes back to the 1-day view. Also no night mode or backgrounds.
