Works and saves contacts ok. Lately though I can't update or change any of the information I have stored in some of my contacts. HELP!!! I keep getting a little pop-up box saying "This contact doesn't exist" even though I am looking right at it! What's up with that? I need to add another phone number to a couple of my contacts but there isn't any way to do it. What is going on with my phone??? HOW can I get some help to fix it? I searched Google security but no help there that I haven't tried.

Unification of actions on different devices. Needs to be combined with phone & message app. Needs a working duplicate merger/manager. Needs social network look up. Needs a way to show address in all country formats. Needs business & personal accounts separated & their employees sublisted. Needs to show all things in contacts w/o having to press more. Group messaging. After last upgrade (downgrade), no longer showing all your information, but stuff that doesn't make sense.

Thank you very much After last update something wrong happened When I edit any contact and make some changes especially first name and last name and save this contact, the contact still as it was before edit I try many contacts and I have the same result.

vCard files just support low resolution profile images for contacts. It would be useful to have a way to keep using Samsung or Outlook accounts and stills backup contacts in Google without losing information.

The app has a great UI with a lot of features but automatically assigns contact pictures to some contacts on my phone. I don't even know where it gets the pictures from. For some people, it assigns the Google profile picture (even though I don't have their gmail address!). Especially for people that I don't know very well, having a picture of theirs pulled into my contacts app (and I don't know how many pictures of mine got pulled into others' contacts) seems very invasive. Please fix.

I had one of my contacts show up as a shortcut on my home screen and it won't come off. It affects my contact phone call, I don't get the call, and I can't message that contact anymore. I can only contact that person by Facebook messenger now!!!!

Been using this for quite a while now with great success. Love the feature to merge duplicate contacts, having my contacts integrated into maps etc. After the last update, I cant see my keyboard reccomendations when I create a new contact. My keyboard pops up, but not the reccomendations row. Can you fix this please? Im using a xiaomi 13 with SwiftKey as keyboard

Since the last contacts update from Google every time I try to edit a contacts note the screen jumps all the way to the bottom of the file. That's not helpful since I want to enter my new information at the top of the notes window. This happens no matter how much previous data is in the notes.

The last update is trash! 1. Adding a field is complex. Every time after adding a field, the keyboard opens, and after clicking the back key, you need to scroll down to add another field. This is pretty annoying. 2. The notes field always stays under the keyboard. It doesn't appear above the keyboard, so I can't see what I'm writing. Adding the country flag in the number field is good. You may add 'add field' options like 'add number' or 'add address' below each related field. Thanks.

I have had my phone hacked they joined dating sites , football on tube and sports also utube even after telling company (phone) nil expenses on account unless in touch with myself.let this happen but charged me monthly subs even though I never used and told me I had 2stop the subscriptions myself but would not let me I ended up taking sim out not using for a year while still being charged for it so I paid for SIM but not subs. they have won as I had to pay balifs ect to end it( contract😭subs2

I have just updated this app and now every contact I try to edit comes up "contact does not exist". It will not recognise LABELS, I can't select any groups by labels, addresses seem to be deleted(?), God knows what you've done but you've buggered up a perfectly serviceable app. HOW CAN I RECOVER MY LOST DATA, and edit contacts? After resetting app to factory settings and reloading update I can now edit contacts. However data is lost and LABELS are no longer selectable.

(Still no improvement over a year later) WHY have you made the text on the three mode buttons at the bottom of the app i.e. 'contacts', 'highlights' etc. FIXED in size, not affected by display scaling, or font size changes and are about 5-point text really? Please rectify this urgently, this is NOT good for those of us with glasses. See, Google News app just adopted your current lower UI button style but are readable as is the PLAY STORE now... Really...no fix yet!?

It's pretty cool that Google play as to keeping track on you personal phone contacts. I don't know what happens when someone gets to hack you cell-phone number?, do they gets to interact with you personal app accounts also So!. Like this one BANK ACCOUNT'S that would be not cool and get into your personal and private conversations!. Not cool at all but toward to with thinking about someone can hack, this app is great!. Just scare 😱 about hacker's!.

I am unable to add my contacts. There is no provision there. Only block. Delete, etc., appears. I find it difficult to add my preferred contacts. It gives me doubt about contact App, it seems some one prevent me to do so and it disappoints me. That's it. I am greatful to Google, if this function set right. THANKS GOOGLE, SK

Nice but rather redundant since the Google phone app has the contacts list but doesn't automatically sync with this app. At the same time this app is required to make new contacts. Needing 2 apps for one thing is absurd! I don't have room on my phone for unnecessary apps that just waste space. Why didn't you just include all of this app's features in the phone app?!

Your app is blocking me from saving my contacts to my SIM card or my Device, and no, they're not full. I can only save contacts to my gmail which i dont want to do. Whenever i try to change my default save location for contacts, SIM and device just can't be selected successfully. It's my right to not want to save my contacts to your accounts, and i want it back, or else i will search for other alternatives, or just write my contacts down on paper if needed.

Updated from 1 to 4 stars (29 Aug). Search function now working again. Irritating weather feature still there though. Lots of people having the same problem as me. Search function in contacts has stopped working. Typing in the search bar, it makes a half-hearted attempt to find something but gives up after three letters and says not found. Incredibly irritating. I have to scroll through my whole list. Might as well still keep names in a separate address book! No response from developers?

This application meets the expectations of a user. Its UI is simple and yet very interactive. Contacts synchronisation and backup are the top features. Other features like merging and deleting duplicate contacts are useful as well. Overall, with the cloud backup and synchronisation facility this application is the best contact number address book app till date. I thank google for this. Users said that syncing has stopped working for them. I believe updating the app might resolve the issue.

This was once a reliable app for contacts. I gave it two stars, because lately all I see in my contact list are customer service, and I have other contacts related to my regular phone not being saved correctly. For example: I had several people in my contact list that are pertaining to me. But I'm not sure what is it, that keeps me recognizing how many times I listed contacts for them to stay listed. It doesn't make sense to me to have my own cellphone number interwhined in my call list.

As of a few days ago, when I save a new contact, they are not appearing in Messages by their name. Only the phone number appears. I've spent a couple hours in all, clearing cache, trying to update Messages AND Contacts, restarting my phone several times, etc. Still, nothing. It's incredibly frustrating and I'm considering using a different app for messaging.
