The keyboard itself and all of its features & customizability are excellent but the speech to text is really awful. The weird part is that it wasn't always awful and it seems that somewhere along the road it just started getting worse- it makes the first letter of many sentences lowercase, adds spaces between numbers when it feels like it, doesn't allow you to pause without shutting off. The list goes on. Disappointing to see from a company like Google. Would love to see improvements.

I don't know if it's a new glitch or whatever, but I literally can't not write with it sometimes. Because the cursor will jump wherever it wants to go. I can't even correct anything or even sometimes I can't even use the voice to text. I've read others have experienced this too it's not just me or my phone. It's freaking ridiculous you have ruined this keyboard, y'all need to fix it like yesterday.

The speech to text has problem picking up what I'm saying and would change words or not even pick up the right words. The cursor on immediately move from The middle of the sentence where I'm trying to fix and go straight to the end and mess up listen is completely and having to delete a good portion of the sentence. The autocorrect has been very annoying and intrusive even after turning it off is still continues to work. Please fix it

This was my go-to keyboard for years. Recently it started placing the cursor in strange places any time I try to go back and edit anything. I'll try to delete a word or add something in the middle of the text and it'll delete an entirely different word or start adding what I type in seemingly random places. It's basically useless like this

I've been using GBoard for years. There now seems to be an insurmountable issue causing it to be completely unusable. Cursor goes wherever it wants while you're trying to type. Cannot edit any text from previous words as it will force the cursor all the way to the end of the sentence as soon as you type or delete. It adds letters while you're trying to delete words at the end after.

This would be a 5 star review. This has been hands down the best keyboard experience until the last two weeks. Whenever I go back to correct something I've typed the cursor will automatically go to the very last word. It never did that until recently. It makes the keyboard almost unusable. It's a huge disappointment that something so good could turn so bad so quickly. Using a pixel 6 pro, I don't expect these kind of problems with something that should be seamlessly integrated. Fix it please.

It is good. I wish the auto correct & glide detection was better. Sorry, if I'm missing something, but it would be great to see my custom settings synch across my devices. The issue I'm getting now might be due to Samsung or Google. I'm not sure which. Trying to correct errors in typing causes the keyboard to send text places that my cursor isn't located when i begin to type. Random uppercase letters, and swapping words that I know are typed correctly after i hit send. Something is F'd up.

More and more, this keyboard is frustrating me to no end. 1) It pops up when I get a phone call and covers the answer button so I can't answer, save didn't show the close arrow at the bottom so I can't even close it. 2) It insists on correcting some words, and won't let me change them. Swiping or typing "in" autocorrects to "Ina", even though I've tried to remove "Ina" from the dictionary a dozen times.

I've been typing on docs a little more lately, and the keyboard app will suddenly stop working - particularly when holding the keys for punctuation, and such. (With pop up asking to close the app) It usually comes back after closing the app, then tapping the screen a few times - but every now and then I'll have to close docs, and reopen whatever I was working on. I'm not seeing any other complaints about this issue, so maybe it's just my LG phone? But I've never had any issues before.

After upgrading, that frustrating addition of "oh," when saying "comma" has been removed. Thank goodness! I also appreciate the ability to access the keyboard during dictation, in case I need to add a return or make slight adjustments. It would be nice to have access to the space bar long hold, to adjust the location of the cursor, rather than pinpointing its location with my finger.

I just realized that I have clipboard screenshots "off" but it still happens (I'm ok with it because I want it) but I didn't know it was an option at all let alone off. I hit "on" and it asked me for permission, which it was already taking on it's own apparently. The voice to text mishears me a lot, maybe because I talk at a faster rate. Also, it's been combining small words lately. *me a* in my sentence was actually turned into "mean". I do enjoy swiping much better then regular typing.

I've lost count of the number of devices I've installed it on. On new phones, this is literally the first app I download. Other keyboards seem like a kids toy: "Fisher-Price, my first keyboard lol". Gboards customizability includes long press options, emoji, gif and sticker options as well as themes. Swiping horizontally actually moves the cursor left or right so you can skip one space over easily. Are there better keyboard apps? I wouldn't know because this one is the best for me! Try it!

I've been using this app for a very long time. As of recent, it keeps automatically putting my curser at the END of what I'm writing when I try to correct the spelling on a word. It's getting increasingly frustrating, as my only recourse is to completely delete everything back to the word and start over. I've tried uninstalling Beta, installing the regular version, clearing the cache, and nothing is working. I'm close to just changing to a different keyboard. I have Android 12/Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Doing a great job with development of this keyboard, an option to be added could be dark mode for the settings menu inside the keyboard. Overall this keyboard is responsive and learns your typing patterns over a period of time, sometimes I swipe too fast for the keyboard though. There are certain apps that lose the ability to swipe when you use them and I'm not sure why it does that.

There's some bugs. It resets my settings but not in settings it's self they are always the same as how I set them. My personal dictionary gets reset but sometimes only part of it. And multi-lingual function gets confusing and isn't very good at predicting/ correcting the words in the language u want or the word u want and trying to say. One language set at a time it does better but not by much at all in correcting and detecting the right words outside of main language defualt setting.

I've used Gboard for years and it used to be amazing, however within the past few months my experience with it has been declining rapidly. The text to speech almost never picks up what I'm saying or takes forever to initialize. The swipe feature which used to work quickly is now constantly missing words forcing me to have to manually go back and edit the text, and autocorrect works about 50% of the time. I hope I don't have to give up on Gboard and these issues can eventually be fixed.

I don't understand how the app behaves worse over time. One thing it's started doing lately is not picking up spaces between small words when using swipe. So "be a" comes out "beat" and "is a" comes out "isa." More annoyingly, voice to text just... Doesn't work most of the time. My internet is fine and it will just stop recording in the middle of a sentence, even though the mic is still on. I can only speak a few words at a time. It's infuriating.

Toggle to turn OFF saving screenshots to clipboard doesn't work. When swipe-texting, you don't need to hit the space to start a new word, you just lift up – great! But if the next word you type is a single letter (e.g. "be a"), it'll put that letter at the end of the previous word ("bea"), and sometimes it'll autocorrect that to something else ("beat") so you have to backspace even more in order to correct. Needs an option to switch from long-press to double-tap in order to select a single word.

I really like this keyboard in fact it is one of the first things I must have when setting up a new device. All though I must say I am disappointed in the lack of ability to do much with the appearance of the keyboard it's self on your device. Such as being combatable with style themes or appearance packages. I like to snazzy up the look of my phone and I change it often but my keyboard stays the same boring look. Yes there is a few colors to choose from and some landscape backgrounds "BORING".

I was looking for a way to add words to my phone's dictionary since after the Samsung update it disappeared. After a lot of research I found that Gboard not only had a dictionary, but that it had so many more customization options. I love that I can change the background, that it has an emoji button right on the keyboard, and that the Swype feature is so responsive and seems to get the words correct a lot more often then the keyboard that was already on my phone.
