The app is fine but the Redlink device that connects the thermostat to the EIM "brains" attached to the furnace doesn't work very well. For example, it doesn't work with any wi-fi router that switched between 2.5 and 5 GHz automatically. So even if the app works fine, the Redlink device doesn't work making the app worthless. Select a thermostat that supports and keeps up with newer technology like an ecobee, nest, Amazon smart thermostat, etc. You'll be happier and save money.

It works, but is very outdated. This app does not look or feel like a modern app. If there would be a way to check the history of when the HVAC system ran that would be cool. There should be more flexibility in the scheduling feature, allowing us to change the temps. I would never recommend this thermostat or this app coming from a Google nest thermostat.

Functionally, the app is fine. You get full control of your thermostat and remote programming. The UI needs a serious overhaul so that it matches the design of other modern apps. This looks like an app from the iPhone 3G. I'd also like to see history of when the HVAC system ran. Some graphs of temperature and which systems (gas furnace, heat pump, etc) used would be helpful to understanding usage and efficiency

This app worked for me until it didn't. I got an error message when trying to connect indicating that the wifi connection had been lost. Despite numerous attempts to reconnect including resetting my router and uninstalling/reinstalling the app, I can't stay connected. I tried contacting Customer Support several times and each time got an error message indicating that "Support is not an option ". No kidding.

I've only had it for almost a week. And so far it works as described. No issues as of this point I've even tried connecting it to Google Voice on the phone and that works too. But with all the other features that the thermostat has to offer. You can only turn the unit on/off and adjust temperature, select heating or a/c with Google voice commands. Which is still a pretty good. So with that said, I'm loving my new unit. And all the convenience it allows me to have.

It serves the purpose, but it still not accurately displaying settings. Changing settings on the fly doesn't show new target temp. It eventually catches up to display proper setting as schedule changes on its own, but improvements are noticeable, and it has been convenient at times. Keep up the good work!

It worked well for a year or so. Now it is a joke. I go days where I cannot connect even though every other smart gadget in my house is up and running. So it is not an internet issue. It is a Total Comfort issue. The problem is we travel often, weeks at a time and have a pet sitter. I like to make sure the temp is at a comfortable temp because they will change it at times to something not practical or comfortable. Now I can't.

Intuitive but scheduling doesn't work? Our heat doesn't work at random times. I set up the schedule to have heat at 58 when we're not home qnd then randomly started to warm up the house at 66. Then when I manually turned it on to 66, it didn't start. The HVAC pro suggested is an issue with the programming of the thermostat so I will have to call Honeywell to figure it out. Other than that the app seems simple and intuitive (though there are things you can't do through it)

It worked fine for a while then recently it started showing In-door and Setpoints temps inconsistent with the actual temps on the thermostat! Maybe because I changed my phone? Maybe because I now have Android 12? Schedule is quite confusing to set and doesn't give you full control - it doesn't let you turn the system on/off at the exact time you want; there's like a delay for some reason. It does allow decent basic functionality of turning the system on and off which is enough for me

Problems with app on Android. Both of my thermostats show up in the beginning once I select one stat I couldn't figure out how to get back. After fooling around on the screen I found that holding down on the screen and scrolling to the right displayed an arrow. That's the truck for me to back up screens and eventually back out of the app.

I'd like to love this system, but there are some serious problems. The thermostat works and commects to wifi, but the interface is cumbersome. Some of the fonts are miniscule and not user friendly. It does NOT show the fan mode on the main screen. Very bad! The app installs fine but cannot communicate with thermostat most of the time due to Honeywell server problems, NOT wifi problems. App says they are having server problems so remote control is useless. Can't recommend at this time.

The app no longer allows me to control the upstairs or main floor thermostats. Nothing to do with wifi which is working fine. I contacted the developer about the issue via email. Several hours later a message popped up on app under systems tab stating unplanned outage had occurred etc. but no eta on when issue will be fixed. Another day and the issue still exists. Very frustrating. UPDATE: I received a reply and it appears the issue is fixed. Thanks Paul!

It is giving me two completely different readouts on the app versus on the wall screen for settings, temperatures, schedule, and everything. Not sure what is going on but it went completely wrong. Tried uninstalling and running from a clean boot and still same issue. Very frustrating that I can not longer get consistent information or control

Update 2/10: The issues with rotating screen have been fixed or are no longer a problem. Back to working good again. This app was working fine until Android 13, for some reason it doesn't open and just flips the screen from portrait to landscape until the app is forced closed. I'm using a Pixel 7 Pro and I don't want to use an app that forces orientation. Other than this issue, it worked great on my previous device.

App interface is a little dated, however my biggest gripe is that there is no way to manually change if the app is in tablet mode or phone mode. I am using it on a phone and it's stuck in tablet mode with my preferred font and display size in my system settings. It is still usable, but the down button to set the temperature is partially cut off. It does adjust, but it is very clunky. Also it's locked to horizontal view not vertical. Reply to dev: Take my feedback and improve the app!

Been using this app for many years with multiple units in the same building (9 thermostats). The app has been consistently reliable, but with some quirks. There is a several minute lag time if someone manually changes the thermostat on the wall to see the change on the app, but it's consistent, so you learn how to live with it. There's also maybe a 30 second lag between changing the controls on the app for the unit on the wall to respond. Just bought another one today to put in another building.

Will not stay connected to the WiFi. It's been the worst most frustrating experience. We had the upgrade WiFi thermostat installed so we wouldn't have to go downstairs to change the temp. If it worked, this would be a 5 start rating. We even had the installer send out a technician. He said the problem is with the total connect app. He said they were working on a fix 6 months ago.... Ugh...

Not nearly enough options in the TCC app. Lost its Connection and no matter what I do it will not reconnect. Although the thermostat is connected, and the app is on a device on the same Wi-Fi network. I continue to get the prompt that my device is not registered. Yet, it is. Very frustrating. UPDATE: called the Residio customer service line. After some ado, it is now fixed.

Mostly happy with app & the equipment. Could be 4.5 or 5 ☆'s easily. Only problem, it NEVER runs MY set schedule. It just stays where it is set either via app, Alexa, or at the thermostat itself. It doesn't automatically (by my set schedule) turn down when no one's home or overnight. I have to go into the app to turn it down...if I remember. The monthly reports are a good tool too! UPDATE... SCHEDULING WORKS!!! 5 ☆'s!!!

This app simply does everything it's supposed to and it does so without glitches. It's easy to set & change the schedule. You can also hold the temp for a set time that you choose or permanently. I rarely rate apps & I waited over a year before I rated this one to male sure it was reliable. The app is the reason I purchased another Honeywell thermostat.
