Marriott Bonvoy: Book Hotels

Previously the apps works fine for years. But since last week, it keep on automatically closed whenever I tried to acceas it. Mutiple uninstalled and reinstalled have been done but still doesn't fix the issue. How many times do I need to uninstall and reinstall just for the sake to access this apps?

App has been garbage for the last several months. I'm Titanium Elite and have been able to rely on this app for years, but lately it's completely useless with constant error messages that say "This service is temporarily unavailable, but we're on it. Please try again later." Absolute junk.

Can't use the app. Says my device is rooted when it's not. Automatically shuts down the app. No one is going to factory reset their device to hope that the app might work again. Edit: after uninstalling then reinstalling a couple more times, it now works. It works fine like it did for the first 10 minutes I had the app upon initial download. Edit2: after coming back to it after some time it's doing the same thing. Edit: 2 years later still doing it. Fail.

Hi Brandon, thank you for your review. To protect our Bonvoy Members, the app closes automatically when the device is either rooted or has rooting software such as Magisk installed. Do you have rooting software on your phone?

The app is constantly logging me out. I then have to go through the process of getting a verification code from the account holder. It is incredibly frustrating and I don't understand why it keeps happening. My app is up to date. Marriott needs to look into why this is happening!

Not impressed. It can't find my reservation using my reservation number, it says it texted me some access code, but it did not, I tried both text and email. When I show up tomorrow, the hotel staff had better not give me any bs about needing this app for anything. I booked the room, I paid for the room, I will not tolerate that this app is needed for anything I've paid for.

Nothing works in this app. I tried adding my reservations and kept getting errors. I had yo call customer service to get it added to my account. I got a notification to check in and I get a msg that says, this is not working right now. Same if I open the app and try to check in manually.

App has been glitching in the past month where I make a reservation and it disappears from the app and site without being able to recover it unless I call customers service... and then it disappears again.. had difficulty signing up for promo in the past month as well and after reaching out to customer service they can register me but they will not at least honor the 17 days I stayed all over their properties in good faith as a platinum elite member.. very disappointed.

Love this app. Almost like having a personal butler. Made several reservations using this app with no issues to speak of. However, once checked into the second property, the reservation check-in date mysteriously changed during my stay.

The Bonvoy Marriott app is significantly inconsistent. It constantly crashes, freezes up and moves at a glacial pace. For a company that I love which is top tier, the app should reflect that. PLEASE FIX!!!

The app makes me sign-in multiple times as well as send a code to an email just by navigating to a different page within the app. I tried the Order Food button several times but it always goes to a white screen.

This app has become 100% useless in Android 14, Samsung 24 ultra. Keeps erroring. Can't see my reservation, check-in/out. I even cleared the data, cache and tried logging in again, same issue. Uninstall and reinstalling the app didn't work either. The error message is 'this service is temporarily unable, but we are on it. Please try again later'

What a horrible experience! Is this how Marriott hospitality translates into the digital realm? Broken account setup experience required multiple attempts at sussing out whether the system actually knew me or if it considered me a new user. More workarounds to get my password reset. More workarounds to get a confirmation code to actually show up somewhere that I could access it. Now I'm in, it turns out it does have horribly out-of-date info on me but now there's no way to... Out of characters..

Great when it works, but doesn't more often than not. Just getting a home page is a challenge. I won't even consider getting my room key on the app because of how buggy it is.

This app is awful. It constantly makes you do dual factor authentication, even if you just close the window for 5 minutes. It refuses to text me a code so it has to use email. 75% of the time I either don't get an email for several minutes or if I do get one the code doesn't work. I'm always surprised when I can actually log in. Awful app. It has been like this for months. Mobile key on the app NEVER works.

I'm an Ambassador Elite member, and used to love this application. However, it's been giving me a lot of issues. The application ain't up to date based on the information I can see on it and the one that my personal ambassador sees on their end. It's a pain... dealing with it lately. Please, link, synchronize and update all related folders and information...

Update: Cant add guests to booking. Im out... Update: Bonvoy strikes again. The app has locked me out indicating I changed my email causing me to call customer support. Customer support is indicating the email is not changed... Bad System Update: Authentication issues have caused me to change my testing to a 1 star. This app is unusable! Slow and buggy. I don't see all of my current trips. Page loads are very slow. I use this app for international traveling and I rely on it to work correctly.

Doesn't work at all. Gives me an error about having my phone rooted despite that not being the case. Every time I open the app it closes itself immediately with some error code about magisk being installed which again,it is not. Terrible app, this has been on ongoing issue for months. Issue has been ongoing since at least April 2023 with no resolution from Marriott

This app is really irritating. Login is poorly implemented. If I login with my fingerprint, it wants to send me a verification text. How dumb is that? It is literally a text to the same phone, so it is not adding any security - just wasting my time. Naturally once I enter the code, it jumps back to the fingerprint and starts over. So another text code. I reserve rooms frequently, and this stupid process happens every time. Also, any check box to save preferences to my profile don't work.

Like everyone else has said recently. App is unusable, won't load. Ridiculous that a global hotel company can't get a simple app to work. Frustrating too because I was at a hotel today and couldn't even show details to the staff working there. Once again more issues with the update. Can't login, have an upcoming stay which is going to be frustrating without the app to get notifications etc. Stop mucking around with a product when it works fine already!

Hi Alex, thank you for your review. We are sorry you experienced issues! We implemented a fix with version 10.22.1. If the issue persists, please force close the app by going to: Settings > Apps. Select the Bonvoy app from recently opened apps, or tap "See all" and select the app. In the Bonvoy App info menu, tap "Force stop." Then reopen the app.

Recent updates are anything but helpful. Im constantly getting logged out. Sometimes I can log back in, but often go around in circles being prompted to log in over and over, without ever successfully loggin in. App freezes. Is unresponive. Often doesnt load search info, and is suuuper slow if it does. Doesnt rememeber search preferences, even when selected to do so. I could go on and on. Trying to do anything on the app is a rough experience - number of bugs basically renders the app useless.
