Microsoft OneNote: Save Notes

I love that it syncs my notes between my phone and my pc. this app makes checking my notes and documents so easy. the interface on the phone is clean and user friendly. I've always loved using it on the computer for years for work or school, and now the phone app simplifies so many things. it's a good app to have if you like making lists and taking notes to remember things!

EXCELLENT! Arranged my life in a book. Conversely, the typing controls/tools are UNDERDEVELOPED! It's a battles to navigate the cursor on Mobile phones. Additionally, they seldom make any significant updates. However, It is still one of the best out there and one of the best gifts I have ever recieved.

I thoroughly enjoy onenote! I've used it for projects, where team collaboration and investigations were required. Currently, I'm using it for to-do lists and home recipes. The app works great, and with cloud storage, i can leave off at the laptop and pick up on my phone (Android.... but I believe it's available for Apple, as well). A very versatile program!

Potential is great. Control is NOT in the user's hands. 1: Taking notes are easy with a good feel for notations, bullets, pictures, links, and more. Even better on a computer vs mobile device. 2: Deleting a Notebook is cumbersome. The only option is to "close". When I select delete, I want to DELETE. 3: User is not able to move sections, only pages. One must create a new section, then move individual pages. This is a HUGE pain when quickly taking notes over multiple subjects.

Taking notes is easier and very convenient with OneNote. It works exactly like a traditional notebook but better. You can write your notes in the space you want and if you decide its better to reorganize the notes, it can easily be done. It also syncs up so I can easily access it on my mobile phone if needed. There's just some features that cannot be used in the mobile app but it doesn't matter for me.

I am unable to copy anything I've written in order to paste it elsewhere. The cursor just flips around and the page moves up and down when I try to copy anything for pasting. I am unable to rename sections and unable to delete notebooks. This app is like writing things in stone or cement! Once it's there it's impossible to change or copy! Such a shame since I really appreciate the writing tools provided such as indentation and bulleting. I also appreciate the auto-syncing.

The BEST! Registers the time of each recoding. Creates 'family tree' type collection of notes: have multiple forms of media in each note, multiple notes in each category, multiple categories in each book, and multiple books! It's really organized. Transfers within the app, and between apps, is as fast and easy as sharing a Google news article to a WhatsApp chat. Excellent app, I'm happy about it.

This app really sucks. When I copy and paste my devotionals, there is absolutely no formatting. It's all put together without spaces and such. When I took a look at my notes and scroll down, I noticed it moved to the side. So I zoomed out and found it's all in 1 long line to the left, not filling the page space. Update 2/14/23 Thought I'd give it another try. Not any better, can't even copy and paste now!

I didn't realize what a wonderful tool this was until a friend told me. I LOVE the ability to make individual notes on a variety of topics that I create. The ease of duplicating or moving is phenomenal. It accepts text, graphics, pdf, etc. WOW!! Plus the convenience of using it on all my devices be they Android or Apple. My new BFF!

Great, but it needs a few improvements. Firstly, a bug that needs fixing is the lasso tool. For some reason, when you use it too much, it gets buggy and the lasso stops following my stylus and seems to do its own thing somewhere else on the screen. Second, I think it needs a tool for drawing shapes and straight lines like in Samsung Notes where you can draw a shape or line and hold.

I've been using the app for 2 years and I'm not using paper since then. It's great and the best is the sync across many platform. Pending improvements: 1. Keep the writing function while recording an audio. 2. Rescale the resolution image when zoom in/out, when you load and image in a small size and the zoom in, it looks pixelated. But, when you remain the same with zoom in and open the app like this (load in a big size), you don't have the pixelating problem.

Sync issues make otherwise good app unreliable for creating content. Frequently forgets my credentials on every Android device I've ever had. Often unable to sign back in when prompted ("sign in" button does nothing). Have to clear storage and re-setup app to get it working again - which loses any unsynced notes. I don't know why this still happens after so many years, on so many different devices, with so many different Android versions.

pretty good, but doesn't always sync with itself, so I've lost some text/info/notes because it didn't save. Otherwise, it's been nice and I use it a lot. wish there was an undo button on sticky notes, or that I could pin sticky notes to my home screen. Also, the share feature does not work well, but I never need it anyway

Although it is the best multi-environment app I've used (I do someting on my phone and it shows in all my other devices where I have Notes installed) the editing on some devices (like my Samsung Tablet) is rather cumbersome and it doesn't respond as expected. Some times it locks up for no reason and while I can move around, I can't edit unless I close it up and open it back up. However, overall, it is the best app for notes across devices. Also, when locked there is no 2 step authentication.

Issue: When I create a Note on the PC, it shows double on the phone. If you delete either duplicate on the phone (Pixel 7), it deletes both. I did not have this problem before. One of the updates induced a bug in the software... Also when you try to edit with the phone, the cursor jumps all over the place except where you want to make the correction. This problem has been there since I can remember.

would like more of the desktop features available on the app. Currently there is a need to do somethings on the desktop. To be able to use the tablet app completely independently would be a great improvement. While handwriting the screen moves, the ability to lock the screen or set the size to fit the screen is needed.

Great idea, poor execution. The value in a OneNote mobile app is that it syncs with the version on your PC, which this doesn't seem to want to do. This problem is compounded by known limitations in the desktop app, which feels every bit as much of a work in progress as the mobile one. But having end users perform testing for Microsoft does save them money, which is something we'll all need to get used to given the thousands of staff they're laying off. I've given up and have uninstalled it.

It's not possible to manually sync phone with laptop. The help instructions says you should be able to, but the features described in the instructions (an option to click sync all) are in Reality absent from the app. I have messaged Microsoft obviously it was ignored by the tech giant. Its frustrating that devices don't sync and there is no way to get them to do so. If it syncs one note is an invaluable tool!!

my number 1 note taking app. however, just a suggestion. can you make the toggle feature easier to do? when I'm using on my computer, i need to double click the toggle feature. It just feels time consuming and it doesn't feel smooth and appealing in the phone app. If you could make the toggle feature work smoothly and easier, it would be so amazing. Please continue the good work 💖

I am an extremely heavy user of OneNote on my computer. I like that I am able to use the app to sync between my phone and computer. But that is just about the only thing that is good. The dearth of features is beyond disappointing. The ultimate showstopper was the inability to create and store notes locally in the phone storage or an SD Card. Some of the worst note taking apps provide this capability. As a proud OneNote user since it's inception, I am heartbroken.
