This app used to be good but these past few months I just don't get it. Like what is up with the backward and forward feature. You try to forward sometimes but it doesn't, it's either it goes backward or just stay exactly where it was same with backward but it moves forward sometimes. And if it eventually does work respectively, it just goes for a few seconds and starts it's rubbish again. That's frustrating cause I tend to skip movies a lot depending on what would be showing at the moment.

Come on give me a break. MX player used to be a good app but now it has become annoying an irritating. It is filled with tons of ads at every single step and it does not play the media perfectly. Every time I face audio and vedio lag while playing videos. It has became such a drag you know.😤

it went well for a week, now the sound breaks up after about 2-3 minutes and then completely disappears, the only way to get sound back is to reinstall, and I really loved it till this started happening it automatically zoomed the pictures, and I could set it to run faster, with headphones I can happily run it at times and still hear.

Too many advertisements, It is just difficult to go back to your menu after watching a video. Everytime you click on something it starts with ad and there is no option to go back or close, u just need to shut down the app and restart. This is only for your own gallery videos, I dnt know what is situation on its online content. Cant take it anymore, UNINSTALLING.

IMO, this is the best media player available. Fully customizable, simple & straightforward UI, with detailed descriptions/instructions, every step of the way!! Flawless video and sound quality. Some of the ads are a bit annoying, but you'll have that, unless ya wanna pay.

This app is a best video player and the developer provide feature. But I have voice problem. When one character's voice is different in one episode and the same character's voice is changed in another episode. I updated MX Player. Because I thought something would change but nothing changed then I deleted the episode and download back and listen again but nothing changed now I'm tired. Please do something. Please fix this problem.

This app has gone WAY overboard with the ads. I have used it for at least 6 years and have loved it always recommended it to friends. NO MORE! Putting ads up immediately when I open the app, right the hell in the middle of the screen while I'm trying to browse for a local file is OBNOXIOUS. Scroll a little? Here's another useless thing wasting data that I'm completely uninterested in blocking the ability to even browse my files. To top it off, I cannot even find how to exit the app now. Done.

I'm using mx player since 2012 . I never seen this much issue. Irritated by using last versions. Too much ad. Ads are revenue generating one to the app i agree. But after the ad the close button is not working. No use of that X mark after ad complete. Totally frustrated using this app version. No bug fixes . Literally planned to uninstall app and going to use other video player. I'm a big user of mx player for my audio as well video player. But never faced this irritation in past 10 years.

Loved the free version and after a long time of contemplating. Purchased the ad free. Well over a year, switched devices a couple of times and purchase transferred to new device no hassle. If you're like the free version and you're on the fence I can say without hesitation that this app was definitely worth the few bucks. Great investment. Can't view albums by artist? I have no idea why this app is so highly rated. I tried it as an alternative to VLC but VLC smokes this app. MX Player doesn't seem to provide the basic capability of listing albums grouped by artist so you can quickly navigate to an artist, then select an album to play. You can either view all songs by an artist or search through the entire list of albums in your music collection, but can't select an artist and see all of their albums. Useless.

'MX Player' is a media player that support latest video extensions. The reason I downloaded this app is exactly for that purpose. Some video files didn't support in my device's media player, that's why I installed it. Now it helped me a lot. But I didn't like the OTT feature and heavy settings, that is very hard for me to understand, that's why I reduced 2 stars.

App itself is excellent, but average rating given purely on highly infuriating root access permissions which continually go around in a loop & never accept the folder I select in external storage, in order to copy / move files to. Has worked in the past, so I know how to follow (technical) instructions. Annoying, so resort instead to moving files around via the file manager - 2 separate operations needed in 2 different apps, as a result.

I always liked this, one of the first apps i install whenever get a new phone. The older versions used to be more stable however nowadays not so much. Not sure if it's my hardware or not, but sometimes it stops playing in the hardware mode, only after restarting it gets resolved, also bring back the option pausing when asking whether to continue a video where it's left off, right now it keeps playing.

In order to enable the same tap on the navigation option at the top left corner of the screen >scroll down and tap on "Settings" >Tap on "Local Player Settings" >Player >Tap on "Resume" >at last tap on "Ask Before Startup"
What a downfall! This app used tp be so good. I understand you need ads to make revenue. But you don't have to play ads in such a way that it interrupts the whole experience. It was fine when you used to show ad in a small box while we pause the video. But now you guys are playing full screen ads with no skip button every chance you get. Please keep it simple. MX Player is know for being a great video player. We don't want other things inside the app. You guys are ruining yourselves.

The player used to be good, but now you can get an experience interrupting ad for something so simple as pausing your video and then wanting to resume it, forcing you to look around for the X to close the ad when it finally appears only to again tell your video to resume playing. Getting 5 ads in as many minutes is absurd. Even the trashiest free to play games aren't this bad.

When you guys started out, you were really good. The app and it's features are still top notch however ads are beginning to become ridiculous. I go backwards from a video I get a one minute ad, I pause another ad. I'm not gonna ask you to fix it, you can keep making worse until people stop using the app.

Sometimes you can download subtitles for some movies and can't for some, not like the subtitle of that particular movie isn't available, especially a series, you download for a particular episode but you can't get the next episode, there were no ads before ads pop up when you pause a movie, the upgraded version is okay, I would have given it a five star, but there are some trivial issues which are very annoying and isn't necessary that the tech team will have to look into

Since the last update the app has become extremely unusable. I keep getting stupid TikTok ads that I can't escape from, even when I wait for the ad to finish it takes me to the playstore when I press the X, everytime. I have to force close the app whenever this happens to use the app again. If this isn't sorted over the next couple of days I'm uninstalling, I've used this app for what must be over half a decade and this is the worst its ever been.
