Contraction Timer & Counter 9m App DESCRIPTION

*** Most downloaded Contraction Timer app in the world! Number 1 in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Italy and elsewhere! ***

This is the simplest-to-use contraction timer. The app will help to track your contractions and determine when it’s time to go to the hospital. If you plan on having a home birth, the app will tell you what stage of labor you are in at any given moment.

Keep track of your labor by tapping a single button at the start and at the end of each contraction. The Contraction Timer analyzes the duration and frequency of contractions and will notify you when it’s time to go to the hospital.

Thousands of pregnant women around the world have become mothers using our app.

Always consult your doctor to orient yourself in terms of contraction frequency and duration. This app is not a medical device and our recommendations are based on standard indicators. Your labor may occur differently. Therefore, do not rely exclusively on our app.

If the duration and frequency of contractions do not yet correspond to the necessary indicators but labor pains become unbearable, it is better to go to the hospital as soon as possible rather than give birth at home or on the way there. Trust what your body is telling you.

App REVIEWS

Rosalba

It does what I need it to do. It makes it easy to track contractions. I really like that it tells you weather they are Braxton hicks vs real contractions. This is my 2nd time to use this app, and it's worked great both deliveries. my babies are 18mo. apart, just to give an idea.

Joe

Easy to track a whole labor, it lists each and every contraction with date/time/length, and calculates average frequency and length for a recent 1 hour. Simple yet all what's needed, I would not change anything.

Rach

Not Accurate / Unable to Email History. I would have delivered the baby at home having had followed the app's recommendation as to when to head to the hospital. It is difficult knowing when to go to the hospital, which is why I found this app appealing for my second pregnancy. However, it could be dangerous for some holding off going to the hospital because this app or similar ones indicate that it's too soon to go. Be cautious with these apps.

Caroline

It was easy to use, but the feature telling you when to go to the hospital was too intrusive. Having it take over your screen every four contractions when you are in pain was too annoying. I wish it just had a bubble appearing above the button or something, so you didn't have to navigate back to the contraction button.

Briana

Very simple, easy to use. Does exactly what you need. I also really liked the feature of telling you if you should start packing or go to the hospital. One feature which would be great is a widget more easily track or a start/stop on the lock screen (if that's possible)

Dawn

I truly like the features of this app. I haven't gone into labor yet, but I've practiced with it during Braxton hicks contractions. However, it would easily get 5 stars if it had compatibility with my galaxy watch. Being able to time contractions without needing to carry around my phone would be a huge win to me. I know many, many women are frustrated with the fact that Apple has at least 1 contraction app that is compatible with the Apple watch, but Android has nothing.

Rhonda

A very simple app to use however I would like there to be a way to show a break in timing contractions (instead of it calculating a 20 min timeframe where I stopped timing contractions) because then I either have to erase all prior data on the app and write it down or have misinformation because it's included a 20 min time gap in the info. I thought paying for the app would give this feature but there are no additional features when paying for the app either.

Kate

Was a simple, streamlined interface that gave me the exact info I needed at my fingertips while laboring. I bought the ad free version after the fact just to support this awesome resource that helped me so much. Thanks for providing such an easy to use and thoughtfully designed product. My favorite feature was the ability to easily rate the intensity of contractions after each one.

Jessica

I was tracking my contractions the hard way, using a timer for duration and a different timer for time in between contractions. This app records both and is super easy to use, requiring minimal effort!! Perfect for someone going into labor, lol. Once my contractions came in close together, the app advised me to go to the hospital.

Elif

This app did just what I needed it to: push the button when the contraction starts, push it again when the contraction ends. The app tracks the length of each contraction and the interval between contractions. You can then give this info to the hospital. Gives "contractions per hour" count even when less than an hour has passed; I'm not sure how accurate the averaging out to an hour is. However, the app was right about telling me to get the to hospital, which is really the point :).

Rob

Not the best... Contraction Button needs to be bigger as it's simply the main interaction of the app. It also needs better placement as it's so very close to the adverts and they can be very easily be pressed by mistake - and when having contractions, it's really not ideal. I understand placement of the button may be due to enticing the user to spend £0.59 for the pro version, but I may be wrong... Due to frustration, we tried it on Apple, Android and Chromebook - all had the same issue.

Shalyse

This app was useful for timing contractions. The most useful part was the box at the top that tells you the average duration and average frequency over the past hour. The only downside is every 4 contractions it notifies you whether you should go to the hospital or keep timing contractions. This was both annoying and not useful. Had I waited for it to tell me to go to the hospital I may have had baby at home or in the car

Zo

really great app, has everything you need to time contractions from early onset. Also very helpful information page about labour phases, how long they can last and what to expect. Suggestion for a nice, but not essential feature addition would be a possibility to add some notes to a contraction log

Mary

Really did not like this app! It needs a dark mode because contractions often happen at night, and the glaring white screen was really hard to look at, ESPECIALLY when having a contraction. And it was super pushy about saying that your contractions are too far apart to bother with timing them. I'm the kind of person who has lots of spaced out contractions for a while and then they pick up suddenly, so the info about spaced out contractions is important to me.

Fiona

Free to use. Simple UI. Does exactly what you need it to do with zero ads. I was dealing with minor contractions and so much pain; a simple app that did exactly what I needed it to do was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend to any other up and coming parents.

Lexi

An update or two can make this more "user friendly" as it is a bit confusing to try to restart the contractions to start tracking them again when you're in the middle of having long painful contractions! It did help me a lot though, gave birth to my beautiful baby at home but had 3 excruciating days of prodromal labor first. This timer helped me confirm my instincts when I was finally in active labor (although the midwife did not believe me and she almost missed the birth!). Thanks guys.

florian

I had to correct the review after I saw my wife using the app. When she was trying to track contractions at some point ads showed up that blocked her from tracking. This happens when you switched of the screen after the previous one. Normally the ads come in the pause. That made it super inconvenient.

Jimmy

This is nice but is missing an obvious feature - how long has it been since the previous contraction? Show the "next contraction" as a dotted line or something and a running timer on the frequency side. Or show the timestamp for the last contraction, kind of silly it shows all but that one.

Dr

Solid. I read all the reviews about competing programs first. Tested practice labor over 10 or so contractions- worked great ( told me I'm not close to true labor yet. Pretty spot-on). It seems your phone handling skills matter more for data glitches than any mishandlings that this ap might have. I've founds no problems. Works great 👍 As for reviews, it asks what you think after the 3rd or so contraction, then it stops. I decided to review as it's working great :-) Overall, good choice.

Katianne

I've only just starting using it as I just started early labor. Overall its easy to use. I turned off the suggestions because as soon as you have a contraction that is 5 minutes from the last one (even though the contractions are sporadic) it suggests going to the hospital, which is way too early to do so- contractions should be spaced evenly apart. I'm disappointed with the email history feature because when I open the excel sheet, for some reason the times have been replaced with # symbols.
