Opera Mini: Fast Web Browser

Good, EXCEPT that app shows icon attempting to download files continuously (with moving icon at top of phone in notification area), even when there's no in-progress downloads, none pending, or even attempting to be downloaded at all. Strange bug.

It would have rated 5 stars, but recently, it is difficult to switch tab without this annoying black page with horrible view that will be asking for pin later, I love this browser because you can comfortably open tab and switch. I don't know why I should be looking for a touch to view another tab on the phone. It's so annoying. Make it appear anytime i want to open a private tab, which I believe I won't need

Good, fast, & fully equipped browser, plus it's small which is always a plus for devices with limited storage space. UPDATE Just discovered a "feature". If you interact with the app in the wrong way, not sure how, but it reduces the app display to 1/4 of the screen. You can't return it to the normal size until you force close the app, and until you do it follows you everywhere making it impossible to interact with it or other apps it's transposed over. TERRABLE feature! - 3 stars until this gone

I have a plain vanilla Samsung Galaxy S8+ phone. This app just plain doesn't work. It is supposed to block interruptions - instead it creates them with countless notifications to articles WHICH ARE NOT THERE. Either the link is broken, or there is one line of some text which is so small [Later: "Error: Undefined domain name."] that it cannot be read - even with a magnifying glass. This used to be a useful tool, which is why I have not s-canned it yet. I have updated multiple times, but no fix!

Worst experience with opera mini. I have been using this browser for last 6 months. 18 hrs in a day, we can't open any websites. We can see only page loading screen. I guess there is big server issue. Seems there are not even ready to fix it. Must be running running this in loss because of the computation of google chrome. It's better to uninstall it.

Opera mini is fine. Have been using it for a few years, and besides the desktop mode, most of the updates have been meh (desktop mode was great). This latest update though, now everytime I open the address bar, it shows trending Google searches, which is annoying since there's no option to disable it. It's not a deal breaker as typing anything makes it go away, I just don't see the point of adding it to the browser I can go to the website for that.

My experience with Opera Mini has always been the best and it always been my go-to browser though I was bummed out by the fact you removed the free data. Though I haven't had much issues apart from the fact that sometimes updating directly from the app after the update prompt never shows promised updates even after it's done

I truly like this browser. But I have one small problem: the SPORTS. I live in the USA. So I have no idea about the British teams you offer. I looked extensively for a SETTINGS. Can't find it. Now, I will keep the app despite not getting sports in my country. But I won't make it my regular go to browser. I'll use the one on my phone too. I think that's fair enough, don't you?

The rate of update ( like every 3 days) and lagging is so annoying and inconvenient. Starting to think about switching to another browser which is difficult because I've been using opera for years. But, with the way the browser is now I might just do it. Still love to browser though.

What the hell happened since the last update? Why are there trending searches now when clicking on search? I have been using opera since the nokia n70 days(yes, that's 2004 or so) because of it's data saving features and overall being the fastes and more trustable browser, now i'm ok with that once in a while ad, but it's becoming trashier update after update. Nobody wants to see trending searches, remove them or add a button that allows removing them.

Update: Opera boasts with ad-blocking features, but it is actually INFESTED with ads, not only on the news page, but on some sites it shows periodically ads that cover full pages. I don't remember having seen or agreed to acceptable ads of any kind whatsoever. Truly disappointing. Switching to one star.

It's works fine but I'm about to uninstall it because every time I use it, it makes everything use the Norwegian page or language. As to the dev reply, it has nothing to do with language selected. The ѴРИ it uses is based in Norway and you can only turn it off by turning off all data saving features. What I meant above was that if a website had a dedicated Norwegian page, it would go there automatically due to registering that it was from Norway

Those icons at the bottom, the second (from the right), when clicked shows the pages you entered on the screen center and a "+" sign at the bottom which means when clicked another page opens. Now it only shows a ninja(or something) and nothing happens when you tap on the ninja, you are just gonna be stuck in the same page. Every other browser allows you to open multiple pages at the same time, but you decided to take away that feature; really really annoying you know

So far, so good. Tried many of the compatible small browsers on this trusty old Galaxy S6 phone, usually run into some sort of functionality problems, or the app doesn't work correctly, or I simply don't like it. Now that I've got the initial Opera settings to my satisfaction, I did a few searches and got the results I expected, without issue. Five stars for now, until I discover what will be the problem...

I really like this browser since the beginning but I noticed that it's slowly degrading, and now they added actual ads in the app when they have built in ad blocker feature. I really want to switch to opera gx for a long time but the problem was there's no offline page save in the gx so I'm stuck with this.

The old versions of operamini was able to use data saving mode in any site without any effort, but the newer versions has become a joke, now it can't properly load web pages that were opened in data savings mode, i have to turn off the mode to even visit that page, sometimes the pages get stuck as blank page,so we have to open another tab.

The app getting worse by the newest update. I can't browse while data saving mode is set on "High" or "Extreme" or "Auto". i always use either "High" or "Extreme" because adblock only works in these modes, its doesn't work on "Off". I like to use Opera Mini because its lightweight and completely blocks ads but since it doesn't work anymore, maybe it's time to delete this app

Been supporting this app since 2018, I've seen how it really went down in terms of usage efficiency. I experienced so many lags, pages took a really long time to load, crashes once I leave app for a while, etc. I used to compliment this app cause I had no problems at all with leaving pages open for a long while, but now it works the same as any other browser; except sometimes worse cause it randomly self-destructs and then all the open tabs are lost. Hope these get resolved soon. Good day.

Small, fast and easy. Adblocking works great, would be nice if it was customizable. Handles tabs so much better than Firefox. Speed dial is much easier than bookmarks and the worst option is nice. But... a dedicated football section? That one is beyond me. But it can be switched off so that's fine! All in all the speed and minimalism are the winners here.

Its alright, and has some download features that the main opera GX browser doesn't have that I am a fan of. I was unable to download that version on my older phone and had to settle for this one. It feels like an almost completely different browser. Opera GX has no ads, is a bit easier to navigate with, and is generally a better experience overall. If you have the option, just download the actual GX app. However, if you don't, you can settle for this and still get something better than chrome.
