GIO: AI Portrait Photo Editor

No free options... Which could be fine if the results were really good. But they're not. At least not for long haired people. 9 times out of 10, it would do something weird with my hair or chop it shorter. I feel like it could be decent but I just can't overlook the fact that it constantly messes up my hair. Glad I only paid for the $3 for 20 generations and nothing more than that. Also, I'm mildly disappointed that as a man, it wouldn't actually generate me in a bikini for that option 😂

It was a waste of money. No free trials and I risked it because the ads looked so good. After I paid and tried it out, I was disappointed with how behind this AI is. The edits were too obvious that it was all AI and the pictures looks cheap. It would have been fine if it was a cheap app but it's enough for one meal at McDonalds which is more satisfying. Photolab and Epik app are more woth it even if it costs more.

Fun! I bought 20 generated images for like $3, most were funny and not really usable but I got a few perfect bangers so it was worth a few bucks, I don't like how it changed my hair so much though......wish there was an option to turn that off

The app would be cool if a) there were textured hairstyles or b) you could keep your own hair. I have locs that fall past my shoulders. Every hairstyle the app generated was silky straight hair, even when I picked those that appeared to have texture to their hair. I can not use these as a current headshot. A complete waste of money.

This app is a joke. It gave me 6 fingers, and "old money" feature uses a completely different person. Also in every single render the Ai gave me totally different hair that's long and a different color each time. Not realistic and photos can't be used.

There is no AI to this. All they do is clip out your face and stick it on a random stock photo. It doesn't even look good, it's beginner photoshop level. They even assign random hair, and the body does not match the face color. I just wasted $6. Boo.

Poor image generation. It basically just takes a cut out of your face and puts it on a body. Looks very fake. Also doesn't let you choose all the options it says the app has. I think the adverts are falsely advertising this one. Avoid.

This app literally cropped my face from my selfie and pasted it onto a stock template. There was no touch up or anything to make the photo even look like it could be me. if it were a free app, I would use to make meme but since I'm looking for professional looking photo's as advertised, I'm disappointed. I wasted my money on the year subscription. I'll be deleting the app and chalking the expense as a loss.

Pay to play. Only yearbook option allowed to generate for free. Rather than keep my hair style and furthermore, it gave me a whole new look that didn't look like me at all, even though the face somewhat seems like it. Feel it's rather misleading. Can't even trial out other styles without paying. Been burned by so many apps in the past so if you want constructive feedback, here it is GIO team. Maybe let people use all options to generate but have some overlay wordings over the generated picture?

If you are looking for an app that generates a few options and let you choose which one you like, this is not it. It also does not adjust the body in proportion to the face. I paid for 100 photos, but if I don't like what the app generates, I automatically lose 1 use, even if I didn't save it. Also you choose one of the limited options and after choosing a photo of yourself, it generates something different to what you choose. This is a scam, I would like a refund please.

What the app aims to do is great, however they need to address significant EDI and body image issues. I am a thick bodied woman and very proud of it. The app makes me look like a size 6. I look 20 years younger. I have an afro or braids in the pictures I've used and the app replaces it with straight hair. It places my face on another black model but with a completely different skin tone to me. Sounds like the need diversity in their team in many ways.

Agree with previous review, that the app does a great job AI generated photos, but it's misleading in how many options there actually are. It looks like there are 30-40 to choose, but in reality there are only about half that, 15-20. The ones in the vintage category default to maybe 1-2 scenes.

I wanted to play around with the app to see the quality of the AI, and quickly found out that the AI just crops your head out of your photo and places it on a different photo lol. DO NOT spend money on this app....you can do the same thing even better with an free edting app on your phone.

Does not do what's advertised. Just another app that adds some other hair color and style to your face. No ability to control this. I only wanted to turn a casual photo into a business photo and instead had some hair style and hair color that were not mine applied to my pic. I needed pictures that still looked like me. Also def not ai, more like a worse version of FaceTune that has less options.

It gives the same "bodies" all the time even if I chose another template. And you need to have a perfect portrait already. All this app does is attaches your head to a template body plus some retouching but don't think you can take a regular selfie and get a good result with it. Very disappointing.

This is one of the most useless AI generators I've used so far. This isn't even AI generation, rather than overlaying of standardized templates and cutouts over your existing image. The app just crops out your face and neck and adds hair and the standard clothing that the models wear and apply them together. No method for you to edit or choose what you want and how you want it. Don't waste your money on this!

False advertising. They state in all their ads you will have full access to all of the different filters with a paid membership. There are many filters that are listed in the app, but when you actually try to apply it, you can only select from about 10 of them. I emailed them about a week and a half ago in regard to this and have not heard anything back. Bait and switch.

I gave this 4 stars and changed it to 2. I LOVE what the app does!! But it constantly has "something went wrong" errors and says to "please try again" but something goes wrong again. I want to keep using this app, but I'm getting tired of uninstalling and reinstalling just for it to work once or twice and crash again. I've also sent several messages and reports but get nothing. I paid for a week. If it's not going to work, I want my money back. 😕😡 JUST FIX IT!!

Extremely bad app and definitely a scam. I paid 7$ for a week usage, which in my opinion was very expensive and I haven't been able to generate a single photo. Each time I try the app is stuck on the "One final touch" phase of the photo editing and it just stays there. One time I waited for half an hour and still nothing happened.

The result photos are satisfying. There was an error last week but they fixed it. I'm quite enjoying. Hope they'll have more variety of styles. The price is not bad but not reasonable as it charges per result photo, which means I also have to pay for fail photos. I think you should lock the auto save feature and block user from taking screenshot, then only charge for the photo I download.
