Recent update broken With this last update I have been unable to access any music. It won't play anything. It doesn't allow me to even play downloaded, or even show my music or podcasts. Fabulous, back to not sleeping well. Upset because it's been fine for years. And now that I rely on the stories and mediations to sleep, now it decides to not work at all.


I really don't understand how one of the biggest music apps on the planet can be this buggy. Frequently missing the "now playing" tab at the bottom of the app, which means all controls (skip, pause, etc) are missing. Randomly says "no internet connection" while clearly connected to the internet and streaming. If you search for a song and play it, then let it autoplay similar songs afterwards, you can't go back and listen to the original song without backing out and selecting the song again.


Spotify has become smoother since my last review, so I have to clear the app out of history a lot less. I'm not a big fan of the new plus button in the bottom right corner. I don't need to make a new playlist so often that a dedicated spot in the menu is necessary and I don't make podcasts at all. This button is functionally pointless for me and moved the other buttons that I used slightly to the left. Overall, still a great app. I'm just nitpicking the constant changes to the UI.


I have been experiencing a sudden stop to what am I listening. Several times in the same podcast for example. Also, lately there is an error and I can't see anymore the buttons. I was listening to a playlist, had the music stopped not by me, and had to go back to the same music manually. Or I didn't had the skip the music even visible on my screen.


Used to be a great app. But now if you're a Samsung Galaxy user there is no more visible player. Which means you can't pause, start, stop, skip or go back a track. It also now crashes regularly. I've been a premium user without these issues for years, but now it is hardly worth the subscription. It would be useful if Spotify could rectify these issues enabling the user to have some sort of listener control. Update: it had been fixed but now the same issue is happening again in July 2022.


The service itself is great but the mobile app is infintely annoying. Most frequently I just listen to my "Liked Songs" playlist. I choose a song to listen to in the car then close the app when I get out. Anyone with a brain would think I'd want to continue listening from where I left off, right? So why is it that when I reopen the app, even if it's only been closed for a minute, my playlist has jumped ahead by about 100 songs? This is incredibly irritating. I would give 5 stars if not for this.


Love this app, I only use this for my music streaming. I pay for premium for my family and both my mom and I have been experiencing weird pauses and skips. For example, sometimes when I let my phone screen time out while playing music and it goes dark it pauses, sometimes it will come back on its own and other times I have to restart the app. It pauses other times too. It's a minor inconvenience but very annoying.


It's good that you can use it for free and listen to playlists, also podcasts that you're into. The two issues I have are that sometimes (most times), I can't listen to the podcasts I've downloaded offline. Then the other is that you can't start a playlist from the beginning, a lot of the time you have to continue the playlist. I used to start another playlist then back again to start it from top but that has not worked in a while.


I used to really love this app, so I ended up going Premium. However, for a few months now there has been countless problems. Music or podcasts constantly pausing, the bar where you can skip or pause constantly disappearing. I've contacted Spotify and done everything they've asked, but nothing works. I think they need to admit there is a problem with the app that needs fixing.


I've been using and paying for Spotify premium since I was in 7th grade. I am now a college sophomore and thinking of cancelling my well-loved subscription because of the constant skipping of songs. I don't know why or when exactly the problem started, but almost every song skips like a bad record and I haven't found a single effective solution. reinstalling, reporting the bug, opening and closing ect ect. I love this app and I would hate to lose it, but this issue is incredibly frustrating.


I enjoy using the app and have all of my music, podcasts and some audiobooks all in one place. I wish there was a better way to organize files a little more specific then what is available now but I make it work. Quality has always been good! The one or two times it messed up after an update I cleared cache, forced stop and the reopened the app. Simple enough!


For the past month I've had to either clear the clutter or clear what's been saved or delete and install again more than I can count I love the music on Spotify but every time I'm listening to something and it skips it and the settings aren't off I mean every now and then it just works fine but then after a while it starts skipping again or it starts changing when I'm not ready to change the music I don't know if this is a system error I downloaded every possible update ???????? Thank you


Hello! I'm new to Spotify and this is my first time using it. I'm loving it so far! I just have a few suggestions, 1. In the music player, we should be able to swipe down and up without having to use the arrow. 2. A double tap to seek for about 10 seconds would be really nice to add. 3. In the mini music player, we should be able to swipe down to get rid of it. 4. More animations when you click the pause and play button would make Spotify better. And 5. Sometimes the app will crash after opening


I've used Amazon Music Unlimited, Apple Music, and YouTube Music, and this one is my new favorite music streaming app. I have premium currently. The song radios are seamless and it's easy for the most part to navigate the app. Some things are much more convenient on the PC version, like moving lists of songs from one playlist to another. I'm glad it warns you if you are about to add a song to a playlist that already has the same song, it lessens the likelihood of repeats.


I'm giving 4 stars for the music selection. The ads are acceptable but having ads that are as long as a song is not fun. If I choose an album, I'd like to listen to that album and not have other songs inserted. I feel like Spotify has a special team to figure out what would annoy listeners the most so they'll pay for premium which annoys me even more so that's not happening.


I love Spotify and use it incredibly often. However the mobile app on my Note 10+ has been a point of constant frustration since I downloaded it. I have issues with playback stopping for no apparent reason. The controls to pause/resume, skip, repeat, etc. sometimes just disappear from the notification center and in the app itself, along with several other issues. Spotify is great on Windows, but the mobile app on the Play Store has been less than stellar for the majority of my time using it.


Spotify started off excellent, but the problem I had with App has now spread to the desktop. I can no longer play a selected song, there is no longer that icon next to the song. Was considering the premium but this problem has caused me to change my mind. And yes I have restart computer and reinstall App. Happy for those who have no issue . Hope you guys could get this fix.


Amazing that this app has been out for almost a decade and there is still no way to organize your music library by genre. You also can't collaborate on playlist with a specific user, so get ready for bots to put random songs on your collaborative playlists. The app doesn't run well on new phones or old phones. Artists don't get compensated fairly and the CEO is a war profiteer. I'm switching to Tidal, which means I'll lose years worth of playlists, but it's definitely worth it.


I've been using Spotify for over 4 years. Premium is great, for the most part. I'm annoyed that it randomly erases my queue or, most recently, isn't even allowing me to view my queue (rebooted the app, then the phone, then uninstalled/reinstalled to see if that fixed it). Other than those annoying gaffes, I enjoy the plethora of music and podcasts available. The ability to change playback speed is phenomenal, though it would be even more awesome if that option was available for music.


This app has great sound quality and is easy to use. I enjoy it. But I don't like how you have limited skips if you're a free listener and can't pick what song to play, the entire playlist just goes. I also don't like how the playlist automatically shuffles. What if you don't want it shuffled? Other than these issues and some pretty annoying but bearable ads, the app is great and I would recommend it.
