Clash Royale

There's an excellently designed game underneath. Unfortunately it's mostly ruined by card levels, which destroy any unit balance. Units which should die in one hit die in two instead since most enemies are 2 to 3 levels higher. The only balanced game mode are challenges, which cost premium currency and have terrible matchmaking. You can play against a beginner or against a top 100 player on the first match. There is just no fun and balanced mode to play. A great game ruined by F2P design.

Editing my old 5 star review. O had deleted this game a while back and find myself wanting to play it again. I load it up and unfortunately all my progress is gone. I don't know if I ever set up a real supercell ID and now that I'm trying to send emails it just won't go through. I have tried with multiple emails and the email will not go, it isn't in my spam or any other folder. Please help Supercell.

This game has reached its most pay to win point yet. It is impossible to beat higher levels without paying money for evo , pass royale et cetera. When you are at your closest to reaching the next arena ( example , 29 trophies ) , the matchmaking gives you literally 2 or 3 less trophies always. Then you will have to play again and lose like 3 times until you can progress to the next arena. The algorithm has made it so that you have to lose 3/5 games you play. This game has reached a low point

Recent changes made it unplayable without spending a ton of money. This game used to have a five star rating which I submitted in 2018. Now I can't rate it more than one star. Blatant manipulation to get people to spend a lot of money for basically nothing. You could spend thousands of dollars today and by the time the next update hits your collection will be outdated and you need to spend the same amount again for a meta viable deck. Level 15 and Evolutions killed the competetive aspect.

definitely geared towards pay to win, but still fun, if you can handle being beaten by worse players that spend more than you. EDIT: matching system is broken - facing decks designed *specifically* against yours... this game used to be good (I even paid). Now, I think it's time to walk away. Shame, really. It was a good game once... and the new tower has completely ruined certain decks. It's just boring now.

This game is overall good but there are so many problems with it. First of all, if you play continuosly, you will must be defeated. Second major problem is purchasing content. If you purchase or buy any pass, then you will get so many rewards, otherwise you will not get much rewards. I mean to say this game is very useful for those who are very wealthy and opulent. Also you have to play so many years to complete this. So I think, overall its good but please fix these problems👍👍

The game isn't good anymore. Unbalanced cards, greedy clan wars, they made party mode three clicks away and you can't set it up as your main battle mode, you have to reselect it every time. I've played a handful of 2v2s then clicked battle for another one straight away, but since it's not the default I go straight into s 1v1. Not a user friendly interface anymore. Game has really gone downhill. Now it's even worse. Evolutions are basically ptw locked. It's just a greed game now.

I really like the characters and the feel of the game although it needs a little betterment with the UI and add some features. it looks good. although I am putting my rating at 2 because of the immense pay to win aspect of the game and the microtransactions that make it hard for free to play players to be equal to people who have payed actual money.

This is a perfect example of a game that used to be great, and then became ruined. They started overcompilcating the mechanics, leaning into a pay to win system, and not nerfing/buffing cards that need it. I've almost quit this game when the broken Mega Knight card came out, but now with the release of the dagger tower, its just not fun anymore. I still enjoy a game every now and then, but most of the time, I'm playing against over powered cards that I can't do anything about.

Getting worse over time. Each update makes the game less dynamic and more focused on paying than on mastering challenges. Edit: Amazing how I thought it was getting worse back then. It's even worse now. The devs are toxic. Stay away from the game. If you like this style, you should check out other versions instead. This one is pretty, but it's just not worth it.

The game is fun for a while but after a bit if you don't pay to win then you fall behind and start to lose more often. You get to a point where more that half of the people you play have the pass royale or are level 15 with 2 evolutions and a maxed deck. P2w is a big issue in this game especially with the addition of evolutions and new tower troops

Easily the most pay 2 win game I've ever played. You can win every battle you play for you just pay instead of actually being good. Not only is it crazily pay 2 win, but being free to play is impossible. I'm a free to play player myself, and I can tell you that it is almost impossible to compete with people who pay. After they added level 15 and evolutions, it became even worse. It takes years of constant playing to get 1 or 2 decks to level 15 as a f2p player, and getting an Evo takes 6 months

No ads, lots of creativity with deck building. They just removed wild cards from the season shop, making it even harder for people who don't spend money to progress. I could spend a bunch of time getting the in my deck cards leveled up, or I could spend some money and get the same result. I also get matched up with players with highly overleveled decks, making it feel like all of their cards absorb all damage.

Gameplay is pretty solid, all things considered. However, many units are simply poor and shouldn't be in the game anyway. The evolution mechanic is trash, and again, shouldn't be in the game. What inspired me to leave a poor review most, however, is the Shop, which has become a pit of mud. I counted today: 16 different $ offers before I could see the free shop. They keep making things worse for F2P. For example, they thought it would be a good idea to lower free content in the pass royale. Trash

The game at it's core is very fun. The problem is in how supercell has chosen to monetise their game. They didn't choose to go into a cosmetic micro purchase like game, but to instead make the game pay to win. The years haven't made this any better since gimmicky evolutions, which are literally impossible to get as a free to play player even with luck. Playing against lvl 14 cards at 5000 trophy's simply makes the game frustrating and dumb. I don't see thing getting any better.

Cash Royale, in my personal opinion, is not a well balanced game. The trophy gate system makes it difficult to be competitive without micro transactions. Great game for children with credit card access! (Edit: Still 1 star. I reinstalled at the beginning of 2024 to pass time in the airport. Still pay to win, and my account has micro transactions disabled. Thanks SuperCell!)

Love the game and always have, but it has become so pay to win that it's no longer worth it to begin as Clash Royale is now unfriendly to anyone free to play. After having hundreds of hours on just one account I am still not close to maxed out as when I was, they added a new level. Honestly, I don't mind the pay to win as much as other people, but it is undeniable that unless you really love the game, you want a really hard challange or have money to burn, there's no reason to download

Honestly, my initial thoughts to the game were very good, as the game was fun but challenging to a certain level. However, once you pass around 4000 trophies, they just stop caring about the user experience. There are way too many people who pay for in game advantages and it can get very frustrating. Clash Royale is not fun any more, and the game is starting to feel like a chore. The amount of times I face overleveled or pay to win players is insane, and I can speak for others too. DONT DOWNLOAD

Without a doubt the most pay to win, miserably unbalanced game I have ever played with a horrible matchmaking system. I have not gone against a single opponent that is my tower level, or the same card level, only higher than me, which gives them a huge advantage from the start. At this point it doesn't matter how good you are, if your opponent has cards and towers 2 levels higher with tthey can do whatever they want and still win

Just came back to the game after a year and it's far more annoying than ever. It takes forever to collect rewards from the myriad of screens and blinking icons everywhere, many of which make you sit through silly special effects when you collect them (particularly the "legendary" cards). I've spent more time clearing reward notifications than actually playing the game. Really, just provide a "collect all" option and save us from the silly glitzy blinking shows on each item collected.
