Donaldo

Please fix the voice input. Whenever I tap the microphone and start speaking it will only type the first word, and then stop. I then have to hit the microphone again, and dictate again. On this second try, it will work fine with no problem. My speech is loud and clear, and is not erratic. But when I use speech to text 1/3 of the time it will stop typing after the first word. Could be such a useful feature but it's more of a pain to use. Please fix and I will give full stars

I've been using this app for years, since before Microsoft bought it. Loved it, especially since you can choose to store your typing data locally or not at all. Recently, I've noticed an annoying thing where I type a word correctly, often a slightly less common word. And autocorrect "helpfully" changes it to a more common word with similar letters, which isn't what I meant at all. What a stupid "feature." Dropped to 3 stars. Otherwise it's a 5.

Seriously, could you provide me the option to customize long-press keys? There are so many unnecessary vowel accents in German keyboard (which only has an option to have even more choices of accents) that I will use less than once per year. Even their order is not consistent. // Every feedback gives me back the same response. Seems this app is not managed anymore.

That's it, I'm done. This keyboard is beyond terrible. I've used it years and now I've had it. The autocorrect is pathetic. I've just typed a text and wrote "weelend" instead of "weekend" and weekend wasn't even in the predictions bar. Utter garbage. I'm using Gboard at the moment, which is decent but I'll be looking elsewhere. This has lost me. Good riddance.

Travis

Almost every word has to be corrected 2+ times. Didn't use to be like this. It surfaces words that are so obscure or even proper nouns instead of what would be the obvious or common word for that swipe. Microsoft, pro tip: If I backspace a word you gave, don't resurface the exact same word when I try again. Using this has become rage inducing. To be accurate you have to go so slow and very deliberate over each letter. I'd rather go back to using my thumbs.

It was a great app, but now, not so much. I've used SwiftKey for years and always loved it. But recently I've noticed the auto correct/predict feature is coming up with strange words that don't make sense with what I'm writing. It used to predict based upon your writing style and most of the word predictions made sense. Now it seems like it just throws out random words that make no sense. I need to proof read everything now. Not sure I'll continue using this if it doesn't improve.

I really like the Microsoft SwiftKey app. It it has saved me a lot of time and effort in my "slow" typing. I really like the Awesome themes for you to choose from and how you have the ability to design your own theme and or theme's, Awesome!! One more thing I haven't had any issues with Microsoft SwiftKey and the tutorials are quite easy to follow are is not complicated or confusing. Awesome app.

Brian

I like the app, however at times when I use the speech to text option, the microphone stops recording almost immediately and only types the first word or two. It seems to be random as it doesn't happen every time. Other than that, I like everything about the app.

The app still needs an "unlearn" function, where commonly misspelled words can be avoided after having been sent accidentally. Until then, the app will keep typing "woukd" hör would and "thry" for they. Also, I love the direction keys, but they are too close to the space bar and cause the insertion of the next word between the penultimate and last letter of the previous word. The suggestion below is useless, and does not fix the problem. And the arrows too close to the space bar is not addressed

Yaxi

Nearly ten years, still no glide for Chinese input. I started using SwiftKey when it first came out (definitely before Microsoft took over), at that time it already had a limitation of adding max of 5 languages and it didn't support glide input for Chinese since then. I thought it has been ten years, plus Microsoft's acquisitions, there must be some improvements. But I was wrong, at least for the aspects that I have been looking for, SwiftKey is still stepping at the same place.

Used to be a 5. In the last year, the autocorrect (which used to be excellent) has become very poor. It corrects words that aren't wrong, lops the "S" off of every word I try to pluralize and generally makes me have to proofread, edit, retype, etc. Which is a pain because the cursor is also squirrely. It randomly jumps up a line into the middle of some random word and types some of my message there until I notice. After paying for this as a startup app 10 years ago I think I'm done.

I've been using this app for many years and its quite decent. The clipboard, translate and switching between keyboard layouts and languages are pretty useful. The only gripe I have is that the Japanese keyboard doesn't have a handwriting layout as an option like the Chinese keyboard. That's why I sometimes attempt resorting to the Chinese handwriting to write Japanese, despite it not recognising all Japanese scripts of course. It would be great if that could be added as a feature. Thanks.

Back to using this keyboard after some time on Gboard due to weird bugs with text prediction. Maybe have to just clean all SwiftKey app data every once in a while to maintain that text prediction feature in working condition. Seems the longer one goes while the app "learns" the messier the text prediction becomes. That said, I think it works the best among all virtual keyboards I've tried, so there's that. Rating it 4 stars (from 3) as I always seems to return to this keyboard after some time.

Stevie

While I think this is the best keyboard for Android, I am starting to notice a strange behavior with the clipboard. It seems that either Android, the Microsoft Launcher or SwiftKey itself now has a small delay when you copy something. If you do not wait until you see the on screen notification that the text was copied to the clipboard, the system doesn't actually save the text to the clipboard. This is a strange behavior that I don't find welcome.

Mark

The keyboard layout is quite nice. However, autocorrect is far, far too aggressive. Regularly "corrects" things are not wrong. There is no way to tone it down/change the settings. Only options are on/off. Even went to support page-other people saying the same, and official comments from Microsoft are dismissive of the issue.

Brandon

I've been using it since probably 2017, but since getting a new phone (Galaxy S20 FE), there are issues with the voice-to-text. If I go to use it a second time right after using it type a message, I'll get one word in before the voice text will shut off. I have to hit the icon again to restart it. I use it a lot so this is incredibly annoying. This doesn't happen on the Samsung keyboard, and didn't happen on my older Galaxy S8+.

Diana

I used to love swiftkey because it really allowed me to send messages quickly with a minimum of errors. I really like that I can type by sliding my finger over the letters to form words. Now, however, the app is guessing nonsense words and is not picking up on the sentence context. Some words are possibly from other languages as well. When I remove ridiculous words many of them pop up again. My messages now take a long time to type as I have to correct errors. Please fix app for 5 stars.

Man I have been using this app for every bit of 10 plus years. Heck I believe I payed for it way back when swift key just started out. This has been a awesome app absolutely no issue until the past month the cursor keeps jumping around I'll get 2 words typed out & then the cursor automatically returns back to the very top left corner of the screen. I have tryed removed the app and re installed with no such luck. I don't know what else to do. I don't think I could ever get use to a different app

A nice app to use instead of most other keyboards, it's got a nice design and even has a tab key! My only complaint is that sometimes Incognito mode doesn't stay on even if I press the button to enable it in the settings. It'd be nice if I could permanently keep incognito mode on without having to repeatedly check to see if it's been disabled randomly

Hello. Thank you for your kind comments. Thanks!

Kindra

I've been using SK for a couple years now and at first it was great, now, I'm finding myself getting extremely frustrated and impatient with the lack of correct flow texting and autocorrect. I change the settings and nothing, I uninstall/reinstall, nothing. It keeps acting up on its own and quite frankly, it's not even worth the effort. Every time I change my theme I have to reset the settings, really? Isn't that why I log-in to remember my preferences. I'm done! Update 2022: Even worse! Junk!
