Rebecca

Suddenly buggy. When typing, it frequently jumps backwards as if I've hit the back cursor button. I know I'm not hitting it accidentally because it does it on random letters, not just the lower row. Just typed "still" in a text and it jumped back with each "l". Edit: I have in installed and reinstalled and it did not fix the problem. Also, there is no way to choose the Beta version in the Google Play store.
----------
Hello Rebecca, please try to reinstall to see if your issues are resolved. Before uninstall, please make sure that you backup your language data in your Microsoft SwiftKey account so that you can sync your data after reinstall. We also recommend to use Microsoft SwiftKey Beta version of the keyboard app.

Hydra

Love using sweeftkey, but I think it could be even better with a small tweak for efficiency. How about adding a long press on X, C, and V to cut, copy, and paste? It’d mirror the CTRL shortcuts we’re all used to and make text editing on the go a breeze. This simple feature could really streamline typing tasks and improve the overall user experience. Hope to see this update soon!

Nicole

[Update: 3-27, nothing they say to do fixed the emoji wasted space issue. This is a garbage app. Still using gboard until this is fixed.] The amount of recent emojis saved is 28, which leaves a massive amount of empty space in the keyboard that should be filled with all the other emojis I use on a daily basis. It could fit well over 60 emojis if they actually used the space correctly. This is the only keyboard I've tried that wastes space like that. Very disappointing. Back to gboard I guess 🙄
----------
Hi Nicole, we're really sorry to hear this! SwiftKey uses the emoji set provided by your device’s operating system. If you want to change how your emoji look in the keyboard, you can go to Settings > Emoji > Emoji Font & select your preference there. If you haven’t done so already, please try reinstalling SwiftKey to resolves the issue. Thank you!

Emma

I have used SwiftKey for years now. It's absolutely brilliant. So much quicker than pressing individual keys. It stores up emails and phone numbers, addresses etc. As well as words I use a lot. I can knock out an email out just as quickly on my phone keyboard as using a laptop. I also like that the keyboard layout and design can be customised.

Michael

I love Swift Keys Ai functionality, and the overall feel, prediction text, etc. I recently switched from using Gboard for the past 10 years. However, a few things are missing that keep me from rating it a 5. They are almost deal breakers for me 1. There is no way to use handwriting as a form of input, which is a big deal to most Samsung Note/Ultra users, and no text editing functionality. Hopefully, these features can be added then is a definite 5 👍 🌟

Erin

It's a good keyboard, but its grammar is awful. It doesn't detect different words depending on the syntax, especially in Spanish (i.e. esta, está). It doesn't detect when I'm changing of language, nor learn new words (even if you say it to remember them, it doesn't have a dictionary option) Stickers can't shared as it, but as images. So it's a useless option [so far].
----------
Hi Erin, I understand your concerns. Please Open the SwiftKey app, Tap on ‘Languages’ and make sure that Spanish is enabled and up to date. For predictions: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/80a341f3-1bf4-4285-a5ed-5d5c497927e7. As for the stickers, you’re correct that they are shared as images. We appreciate your support.

Hello, I used to use the Swift Key keyboard and the iOS operating system. When typing Persian, all letters were easily available, but now in the Android operating system, with a larger screen, in order to use some letters, you have to do a long touch on the button, and this It makes this keyboard difficult to use. If the user experience is in a way that displays all Persian letters without the need for a long touch, we will have a much better user experience. thanks a lot

Miso

Ugh, all the fancy features they added to this app still don't make up for the lack of almost useless swiping functionality that comes up with some of the weirdest words as a result. Swype keyboard was untouchable in this aspect. This one? I have to re-attempt swiping the right word way too often. And no, it doesn't learn from your typing (as falsely suggested by developers) as I keep having to manually re-enter some really easy, common words, or city and country names. Needs a lot more work...
----------
Hello Miso! SwiftKey can learn from your typing habits over time. You can speed up this process by allowing SwiftKey to learn from your emails, texts, and social media updates. This can be done through SwiftKey settings under the ‘Personalization’ section. You can manually add or remove words in your personal dictionary through SwiftKey settings.

John

I've used SwiftKey for at least the past 8 years across multiple devices. It was ahead of its time compared to default keyboards included on phones when it was introduced, and has kept up over time. The settings to adjust appearance and layout are easy to navigate. I also like the emoji search interface. If you're interested in finding a new default keyboard, this is worth trying.

Inadaze8

it's nice to be able to change the size of my keyboard and it has a lot of customizable options. The main reason it only gets three stars is I am really tired of typing the word 'ok' only for it to CONSTANTLY correct it with the capitalized version 'OK' even when I tell it not to predict that word again. It drives me freaking crazy and lately the autocorrect has not been working very well.
----------
Hello, I understand your issue. You could try removing the capitalized ‘OK’ from the predictions. Additionally, in the keyboard settings, you can create a text shortcut where ‘k’ stands for ‘ok’. So, when you type ‘k’, it should automatically change to ‘ok’. You might also consider changing the keyboard language to see if that helps. Thank you.

Riya

I've used this app for years. For the last year, it has been the worst experience. It'll constantly randomly close while I'm typing, and it will NOT let me pick emojis - it'll either close the keyboard after I pick one, or straight up close the keyboard while I'm still looking through emojis. I was dealing with it for months hoping they'll fix the issue, but to no avail. Uninstalling now because I can't handle the frustration anymore.
----------
Hi Riya, we apologize for the inconvenience you've encountered. Kindly try to clear SwiftKey cache: open your device settings, apps, SwiftKey, Storage, and tap Clear cache, and restart your device and observe. If issue persist, please reinstall the app and make sure to enable Backup option to sync your data. We appreciate your support.

Steve

I've had to turn off auto correct where it will insert the middle suggestions when you tap the space bar. It doesn't predict accurately and any time I enter a period, then tap the spacebar, it always inserts " I " before anything I type next, which makes me look like an idiot to the person I'm texting, emailing, etc. And I need auto correct due to being a horrible typer on my keyboard. The AI feature is horrible. I don't need it, don't want it, it SUCKS!!!
----------
Hi Steve, we apologize for the inconvenience. When SwiftKey suggests an incorrect word, you can tap on the word to see other suggestions. Selecting the correct word a few times can help the AI learn your preferences faster. For predictions, please refer this page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/80a341f3-1bf4-4285-a5ed-5d5c497927e7.

Jon

I've used SwiftKey for a decade, across half a dozen devices. Was always my favorite keyboard, but that's changing. I don't know what they changed recently, if its the AI garbage or they changed something on the backend, but the autocorrect and predictive text have completely gone to ground. A sudden, steep, noticeable decline over the past month or two. It no longer fixes words it used to fix every time. It often changes correct words into nonsense, inserting typos. I'm switching, it's over.
----------
Hi Jon, we apologize for the inconvenience. The information we've provided here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/80a341f3-1bf4-4285-a5ed-5d5c497927e7, should get you to the right direction! We appreciate your support and cooperation.

Migs

This has been my main keyboard for years and years. But recently after some update my phone did at some point, (Galaxy S21, guessing the update to Android 14 or the new One UI version) the prediction/correction functionality as well as the swipe functionality doesn't work while typing from a notification/pop-up when the lock screen is active. For reference, I use Next (formerly Handcent) SMS and the "pop-up" functionality from that app.

Miso

Ugh, all the fancy features they added to this app still don't make up for the lack of almost useless swiping functionality that comes up with some of the weirdest words as a result. Swype keyboard was untouchable in this aspect, in terms of word prediction as it rarely made any mistakes. This one? I have to re-attempt swiping the right word way too often, as in 1 in every 10 words it gets completely wrong. As in, it suggests words that a normal human would never use. Needs a lot more work...

kaspermo

Still my standard keyboard that I enjoy using. However, it is unfortunate that saved custom designs including backgrounds won't get saved in the account itself, meaning that when changing phones, I have to create the keyboard all over again. Also, none of the AI features work, instead there is an error about you experiencing issues. ___ It would be nice to have the ability to further customize the keypress sounds with individual samples that can be imported from one's storage.
----------
Hi there. Thank you very much for sharing your ideas with us. They help us to guide the decisions we make around your keyboard. Thank you for your support!

Guest

Haven't been able to find a good alternative to SwiftKey :( does a great job and is overall really good. No ads no bull, just works. The language support is though a bit worse than GBoard. It is not possible to use specific languages for specific keyboards by limiting language suggestions. The suggestions are not quite as good either as the competition.

Elian

I like the customization and built in gif search. The word suggestions just keep getting worse as time goes on. Im constantly having to go back to fix it and delete the learned mistakes. I got this for the swipe-to-text function and feel like i cant use it anymore cause it doesnt know what a dictionary is. Stop using user input cause theres too many errors. Maybe instead have an option in the settings for us to input our lingo instead of guessing a million wrong answers.

Ffinlo

I've used it on and off for years on an android 10+. Both times I've found it start promising but giving up on it after it repeatedly start lagging heavily, randomly capitalising words not at the start of the sentence and having genuinely awful auto correct suggestions where it will change obviously correct words and not swapping obvious spelling mistakes. But it's the lag thats giving it such a low rating.
----------
Hi Ffinlo, we're really sorry to hear this. Ensure that you’re using the latest version of SwiftKey. Sometimes, clearing the cache of the SwiftKey app can help with performance issues. You can do this from the app’s settings in your Android device. If the problem persists, you might want to try resetting keyboard settings to their default state.

Austin

The clipboard feature is a must, honestly. If you use your phone for coding, writing, editing, etc. It's amazing being able to copy and paste multiple items and scroll through all the recent copy and paste items you have. It makes it signficantly easier to move text around while doing work on my phone.
