Viber – Safe Chats And Calls

I was having issues sending messages so I deleted the app and reinstalled, activation failed so I contacted support. Support stated there was suspicious activity or spam! I have not done anything except message my family on this app. I've contacted them several times. They will not unblock my account or tell me what the activity is. This is absolutely ridiculous! Why won't you tell me the issue so if there's a problem i can fix it, and unblock my account.

The ads are minimal in the desktop version sand almost unnoticeable on the phone. The built in language translation makes it easy for communicating with people that doesn't different languages. Video and voice calls are excellent as well both over WiFi and cell data plans. The desktop and app sync up very well and you can seamlessly jump between the two. Video calls are good on the laptop version as well.

Absolutely criminal storage control. Either it suck the soul out of your phone with media or you loose it all... There is no way to choose what you want to save. To the product owners of the application: This is a chat application, not every gif,meme or video is for storage. To anyone else struggling with storage: Turn off the save to gallery. When you want to save a photo or a video, share it to google drive and then download it back to your phone.

Generally very good app. Everything works and the call quality is very good even with weak signal. I am very disappointed though because recently my phone broke down and I had no chat back-up. I also use it in my laptop and all my messages are there, but I cannot synch them with my new phone (as you can easily do in many similar apps). I really cannot understand why they have this policy and its a real problem for me right now!

After an auto update to the latest version, call audio will not connect to the Bluetooth headphones. They work with all other apps and system sounds audio. Using the in call toggle button to choose between headset, speaker and phone does not work to activate headset either. This is very frustrating. Hope the issue will be resolved soon.

The recent change to GIFS are incredibly frustrating. It's location has changed. I never use "polls" or the "time until message disappears" features, but now I'm forced to see these and do extra taps to access GIFS. Why?! The GIF search also no longer remember what I've searched. Looked through a few pages of GIFS, but go back to see what's happening in the chat? Too bad, you've lost your GIF search. Please change this back. It might not seem big, but it seriously impacts usability. 😩

I have been using Viber for yeeeeeears, and it is a great little app! However, the most recent update has caused some sort of thing with the stickers where when you use one, it shifts it to the top of the list and so on. It's driving me craaaazy...would be wonderful if this feature could be turned off...please!

The new interface has a small design issue. When two people are ending their phone call, while reaching for the red button, it is very possible that one of the two will tap it first. And then the second one probably will call back because at exactly the same spot the green button will appear when the call is over. There is plenty of space in the screen that appears after the ending of a call to arrange the two buttons. Edit: interface is changed, looks OK. Thank you!

As mentioned already by some people, the red "hang up" and the green "redial" buttons are inconveniently placed at almost the same position. There's always a big chance that you or the person on the other side of the line will redial instead of hanging up. I like Viber but this is really annoying. Please fix it... It's a minor thing, no need to think about it much. Thanks.

So tacky and cluttered. Plus until now, it's so hard to edit things as simple as changing contact's name. And I don't get notifications from time to time esp when it's a group chat...hit or miss but most times a miss. Edit in response to Developer: I still cannot find the edit button to change the name of the contact and still fail to get all group notifications.

Its a pretty good app for communicating with friends and family. The chat features are great and work properly, but the calls are a bit glitchy. The quality of the calls is good, it all depends on the internet connection between the two users. The biggest problem I found is that when someone calls me it doesn't ring sometimes. But overall its a 4/5. Good when taken into consideration that its a free app.

Suddenly, my messages aren't being delivered 99% of the time. Both I and the friend I'm messaging have tried deleting the data and cache and uninstalling the app, and even restarting our phones. Yes, the app is updated to the most recent version, and yes, we're both on stable Wifi and/or a 5G connection. Nothing has fixed the issue and it's becoming frustrating.

Used Viber for 5+ years. Like it, particularly the encryption element. Only COMPLAINT like many others is when ADVERTISING was added and they make it appear as a CHAT and displaying it as an unread message from a contact. This is SUBTERFUGE and beneath Viber. Much prefer the ads in a window in the corner on the desktop version. BACKUPS: Please provide the ability to back up or save chats and photos to my PC's hard drive instead of the cloud. Allowing restore however would be an issue.

It has become completely unreliable. The messages I send sometimes completely disappear. At first I thought I somehow forget to hit send and that's the reason there are no messages sent but then I started to screenshot every once in a while and I'm right - the message that is sent AND delivered just completely disappears. Very disappointed because Viber was my favourite messaging app but I find I turn to other apps more and more because of this.

And then explain if a persistent notification "sending media" at 99% is not an issue? It cannot be swiped off the drop-menu, and it remains even after the images in the app have been sent and delivered. Needless to say, it doesn't disapper even when the app is closed. I stick to my previous rating and opinion: used to be a decent app, not anymore.

It definitely is one of the most reliable calling apps out there. I do think the interface can be improved though. Imo there should ba a different tab for calls and different for contacts, and the ads should NOT show as a thread at the chats tab. It makes a bad experience. Having ads at the end of a call is enough imo. Also please make the icon to be able to accept a color change when people apply color palette to icons.

Great messaging app, easy to use and some good features. Not sure if it's just my phone or others experience it too, but sometimes it can be hard to accept incoming Viber calls (but that could just be down to user error maybe). When I was locked out of my account they helped with within an hour or so which was very impressive and I really enjoy the fact that when I put Merry Christmas on one of my messages, lots of Christmassy paraphernalia filled my screen - a small thing, but really cool.

Great app, reliable Audi and video, notification can be a little delayed sometimes. Only issue or feature I wish to change is the In Chat audio notification can not be switched off. Everytime the person sends me a message is get a notification while being in the chat . There is no option for this in the settings, only option I found was outgoing msg notification .

Video call, works great. Calls, also not a problem. Sticker, love them to death. The camera effects are also gosh darn cute! Now my issue is with how messages aren't exactly instant. I have had messages pop up to the other person 10 minutes after sending it and that person was right beside me. It was fine for a bit but then randomly messages are delayed for no friggin reason. And I did not engage the delay feature either. It's annoying when I need replies quick.

Pretty great app for chatting and video calls. I also like all the free sticker packs and use them all the time with friends. Probably too much but eh, they're unique. I especially like using the app while traveling as it works just as fine when connected to wifi as it does on data or in better depending on connection strength. Has some adds but easy to mute or ignore those.
