Plan and optimize your welding tasks. Calculate specific manufacturing parameters for the processing of both base and filler materials. The voestalpine Welding Calculator assists you in calculating all the required values for your next welding project – and it’s neat, fast and easy to use:

Cooling rate t8/5 according to EN 1011-2: Verifies whether the selected welding parameters are inside the recommended processing range or whether their optimization is required, thus ensuring process reliability in the production of welding seams. An integrated retrograde calculation functionality allows you to specifically adapt your welding tasks.

Preheating temperature Tp: Calculates whether unalloyed and low-alloyed steel grades (according to EN 1011-2, Annex C.3, CET-concept and ANSI/AWS D1.1, Appendix H, Pcm-concept) need to be brought to a specific temperature prior to welding in order to avoid cold cracking. Additionally, the Welding Calculator checks whether edge drying depending on overall climatic conditions will be required.

Calculation of filler material volume: This functionality allows you to calculate the required volume of filler material per welding seam.
