The notification, Ringtone, alarm, reminders are all cool and great choice of backgrounds also. Allows you to make your own saved lists of the things that you like and wish to have available. Make as many files as you have a need for when you save choices for any of the above mentioned functions and more. Used to be a cute easy to use little app. But what seems like a continuing trend, the app makers kept effing with it till it's become an ungainly unusable mess. You can't just boot it up, do a search, find a thing, download it and go. Now you have to sign up, log in, give your email, and there doesn't even seem to be a search function at all. Good job! Unusable. There are soo many ads that the app is not responding. Every click, every search, every button press, ad. Even if you manage to fight through the sea of advertisements and get something, then there is an unskippable ad that makes you click on it if you try to close it. Absolutely greedy.

Very limited, poorly organized & unrelated results when searching for specific music/song ringtones & notifications. The ads have gotten MUCH BETTER, they're not as frequent or as long. There's great content if you're just wanting a sound effect, but if it's a song by an artist or band it's hit or miss. There's also no way to filter the search results.

Previously left a 1 star review. After a considerable amount of time trying to get the app to work, I was on the edge of deletion. But I discovered that there was a login area. I remember signing up a few years ago so I could save my favorite downloads. So, logging in fixed my issue of not being able to download/ connect to their server. THIS IS THE APP! It's the only ever used for wallpapers, themes, ringtones, notification sounds.. and it ALWAYS has several I love! I have the app installed on most of our devices & it's 100% free. Or at least I'm using the free version & it still has all we need. I've never had a reason to need to upgrade to the premium selections, there's more than plenty of choices in every category. Can't hardly use them though cause an ad pops up every time I tap the screen, it immediately sends me to the app store without prompt, it's becoming very tedious. I will not be paying for it's subscription, I believe the app is doing this on purpose. Would be better if it were a one time purchase of $10 for ad free viewing instead of subscription based. Free use is the most ads I've ever been interrupted by in a short timeframe. App is not useable in my opinion. Edit: it's worse than ever before! The ads are showing a fake "x" to close, which will open Google play store whenever you press to close the ad. I've been using Zedge since forever and it's been awesome. The ads were getting super annoying so 3 weeks ago I finally decided to just pay the $10 for lifetime subscription. Today I opened up the app and boom! Ads galore. Thought maybe it logged me out but nope, it just gives me the option to buy a lifetime pass. Fix my account please!

Wow, it's been several years since I've used zedge as a standalone free app "without any ads". There are so many ads you can't add any ringtones without wasting 30-45 minutes just looking for a ringtone that's decent. Zedge needs to change it so that if you are in one category ,example George Jetson there's several in that category. One ad is sufficient,but 20 add for the same category is ridiculous. Zedge has been uninstalled ,not worth it to enlist as a member.

It does what it says it does but the reason I am giving it such a low review is because the search feature doesn't work properly. It searches using the hashtags and not the title of the audio so it makes it, for the most part, impossible to find what you're looking for. This had been my go-to for wallpapers since 2019 but with the bombardment of intrusive and obnoxious ads nearly every step of the way the app is now nearly unusable. RESPONSE TO REPLY: Thank you! My issue is mainly with the ads that hijack the entire functionality of the screen, and especially the TikTok ads that automatically open their page on the Play Store. I love this app, even the ads aren't annoying. Wide range of ringtones, notifications, wallpapers & live wallpapers. You can even create your own wallpaper put it out to the Zedge community for there use. An excellent app to find content for your phone; wallpapers for your home & lock screen, ringtones, notification sounds, & so much more! You can even create your own wallpaper/image using their art/paint feature. There is an option to upgrade to the premium version, but not needed as there is so much content available on the free version that I can't possibly get to it all! Rarely, the app will just shut down/close & I simply restart the app, but like I said, rarely! I downloaded this app and was immediately impressed with the available options, haven't even gone through all of them yet, but will eventually pay for premium. The only issue I have, so far, is that I uploaded a photo of myself and tried the super hero effect edit, it worked, but all the options came back as white guys, which as you can see from my profile photo I'm not. The number of ads, and pop up ad after pop up ad is absolutely insane. Some I have no idea how to get out of. the back button just restarts the ad. absolutely ridiculous. they also have their subscription ad for zedge pop up and it seems you can only continue by subscribing, but there is the X at the top right of that ad. App has a good amount of wallpaper, ringtones, and notification sounds. I've never had any problems with anything I've downloaded and I do tend to look at this app first. I do wish there weren't so many duplicates and that it was easier to find things within the app. Also, the amount of ads makes the app slow and it's easy to accidently click on them while scrolling.
