Pointless... absolutely pointless is what this app has unfortunately become. It doesn't trace people you're physically near to anymore or anything of the sort, so you'd be none the wiser if you were talking closely to a Covid-positive case for 15+ minutes. It just tells you there are no rules in place and use your own version of caution.

Adam

Hi this is ThamesValleyPolice "I have had to delete my nhs covid19 app . Coz your app is being stupid and making the mcafee antivirus thing on my phone say theres a security threat oh yes and it nearly broke my phone the battery didn't want to charge up so thanks to the Tory Party Government& @BorisJohnson i will not be re installing the app"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Music

Great app checking into venues, but when given notifications about being near someone with covid 4 days after the date is the reason for 2 stars, disappointing

Miguel

I had positive test. After isolation I unnistalled the app. Then I wanted the recovery certificate, tried to put it again on the app and says the test has expired. Nonsense

网友

Track and Trace only ever gave me one false positive. Apparently, I was never near anyone else who had Covid 19. I doubt that. Why couldn't I log my Lateral Flow tests via this app? Constantly notifies me of an update of information, only for me to access the app and find nothing obvious. This app was never world beating.

Captain

What a useless app... I downloaded it after catching covid 2 weeks ago, upon being given a code from the gov/nhs covid website. It gave me 6 days on the clock however 10 days after 1st using it, I'm still positive with covid symptoms. This app either needs to be updated to include current variant symptoms and how many days the variant could affect you or scrapped all together. In its current format it is just a useless clock.

Kid

Can't get in! Every time I open the app and try to put in my postcode, it always tells me it's wrong when it clearly isn't. No other app that makes me put in my postcode has done this before, so there's clearly something wrong with it. Not to mention the app constantly kicking me out and crashing for no reason. Don't reccomend, use a real covid test instead.

Gazo

great app need to add more into it. Also their is another thing can you please bring back the scanner so we can scanne are way through restaurants hospitals etc etc

Robert

Seems silly not to use this. Two notifications of exposure since the application was released. Thankfully I tested negative on both. Later when I had the virus, the PCR result code was accepted and other people were warned as such. Top work.

Paul

I know I have been in close contact with several people that have tested positive for covid less than 24 hours later. The app has never notified me or been of any help whatsover. Track and trace has stolen taxpayer money and falsely claims to be an NHS app.

Kell

It is flawed for starters I have caught covid twice & it has never alerted people near me. Including my boyfriend who was in the same room as me.also it is very conflicting on the time it says to isolate the app says one thing then the 119 helpline says something completely different. To be honest I would not fully TRUST this app because it often gives different information and the fact that the count down is still 10 days when the guidelines are saying you don't have to isolate for that time

App usually works fine, recently tested positive for COVID and followed all the steps to register it on the app only for it to tell me the wrong isolation timeframe. It says I need to isolate for 11 days rather than a minimum of 5 days as the government outlined last month. Clearly the app needs to be updated again to fix this.

This app is rubbish.Tells me to stay at home even though I don't have to, its only recommended. Even when I turn off notifications it still spams my phone every second with them just because my Bluetooth is off. I don't want it on because it drains my battery. Only using this app for the countdown then deleting.

Sam

Out of date info for a start. Now I've just had a message to say I've been close to a covid case three days ago but I've been indoors for over 2 weeks with covid!. I don't have a phone with the app and only have the app on my tablet which hasn't left the house. No visitors so how us this accurate? I'm going to delete the app as I didn't want it in the first place.

Richard

Yeah it's bloody annoying constant alerts and going off every 5 seconds with something to tell me that is completely unrelated to what I need to know can't wait to uninstall the bloody thing a few days time.
----------
Hello Richard, we are sorry to hear you are experiencing a problem with the app. To help us investigate your issue further, could you please fill out an online form at https://faq.covid19.nhs.uk/create-case/ & report a technical problem. Please provide an email address so we can reply.

Constant notification regarding the same venue is very tiresome. EDIT, link not working. I've forced a stop on the app. The amount of pings I've received this week is a very serious outbreak - if I took it seriously. Only reason I've not deleted it completely is in case I need it in the future although probably I won't. Still a rubbish app.

Unhelpfully gives isolation advice which doesn't fully match the government guidance for England let alone the legal situation. Makes reference to Wales to cause even more confusion. I'm not sure what the point of having a countdown is if I actually need to ignore it and read the detailed government guidance online outside of the app. The FAQ article being pointed to in replies to reviews doesn't really clarify or acknowledge the error/inconsistency for people in England.

Works fine (to my knowledge) to alert you to contacts coming down with covid. Very bare bones though. Would be helpful to have integrated data on cases in the burrough (or area in the UK) that you need to register to use the app (or just the ability to see data from particular regions), to integrate the covid pass and to display the high level government guidance i.e. to make it a single app for all things covid related
----------
Hello, Thank you for your valuable feedback. The NHS COVID-19 App is a contact tracing app which doesn't hold any personal details, and all app users are anonymous. See link: https://faq.covid19.nhs.uk/article/KA-01151/en-us. We’re always working hard to improve the app. You can find out more information about the app here: https://covid19.nhs.uk/

Lee

Garbage...entered a positive LFT result immediately and it is telling me to isolate for 12 days...what is the point of such an app when it can't even get that right! The whole point of something like this is that people should be able to trust it...it can't even get the most basic stuff correct (and it still only seems to list the original symptoms too) Presumably lots of people have deleted the app since the original fanfare...and no wonder! Look forward to the inquiry, if it ever takes place
----------
Hello, If you tested positive, but did not enter symptoms or book your test through the app, the app uses the date the code was generated to set your self-isolation countdown timer. This is because it does not have any other information. See links: https://faq.covid19.nhs.uk/article/KA-01144/en-us, https://faq.covid19.nhs.uk/article/KA-01404/en-us

Someone I was recently in contact with tested positive seven hours ago. Had to find out from Facebook. No contact. Venue history is blank even though I scan the QR codes everywhere I go. Used the app since launch. Haven't been pinged once. Seems very unlikely. No faith that it actually works. Just going to gloss over the venue history being missing then?
----------
Hello, thank you for your feedback. Your NHS COVID-19 app will keep information about which venues you've checked into for 21 days. Find out more: https://faq.covid19.nhs.uk/article/KA-01213/en-us. You can find out more information about the app here: https://covid19.nhs.uk/
